The kits was easy enough to install. The mower deck does need to come off to install the provided blades, but that is a fairly simple task following the instructions in your owners manual. The discharge opening of my deck was bent out of shape from use, but after beating that back in place everything else bolted on just like the instructions state. The only issue I have is the discharge chute is a pain to get lined up properly, and if you ever get the chute clogged, good luck getting it apart to clean it out. I pulled out the plastic pins used to hold the pieces together and used removable hardware so I can detach the chute assembly quite easily. Problem solved, and quite a nice unit overall. (Once I figured out to make sure the second bag never gets overfilled, I've not had an issue with it getting clogged up.)

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Plutarch Assembly instructions lacking. Fast delivery by Home Depot.
Home Depot delivered this item very quickly (2 days vs. the planned 7-10 days) so nicely done on that front. I was very impressed.
In terms of the unit itself, the assembly instructions were lacking and I was not able to find any supporting assembly video on the Cub Cadet site, nor on YouTube. Don't kid yourself. This is not a simple 1 hour job. You have to take off the whole deck assembly, part of the drive belt, etc. Plan at least 4 hours to do it and some portions really require two people.
On the value front, it is quite expensive for a bagger but does perform well despite a few odd design points like the discharge hose being a poor fit. If I was doing it again, I would buy it with the tractor and have it assembled at the shop.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Herm This item lacked features seen on similar units other manufacturers.
The product was shipped with two sets of blades. Both wrong. The cost was exorbitant and possibly because of the two sets of blades, one of which every customer would not need. ex 50" and 54" packed in the same container. In my case, neither was the right blade. The bags would be better marketed without blades with written material included stating which blade numbers could be ordered that would be compatible with the bagger. I find that the bagger plugs even with the small amount of grass that I am mowing currently. I shudder to think how it will perform when the grass is actively growing. Each time it plugs, I have to fight with the plastic attaching pin in the shute to gain access. It is a pain in the rear to remove. I will find something else that works better. I would recommend it only because there is no alternative that I am aware of other than no grass catcher.
