Customer Questions & Answers

Can I hook up a cart to this mower?

Asked by: eliza
Yes you can. Mine came with a towing plate as an accessory. I pull a small poly-trailer and occasionally a tank with a small boom sprayer. Mower has a 10.5HP engine that can handle reasonable loads.

Does this mower work well on inclines?

My yard slopes and I wondered if the mower would have traction and enough power to go up the slope while mowing?
Asked by: Gardener
The recommeded max incline is 6 percent. I have a drainage ditch and sloped front yard and it handles the incline both running up and down the slope as well along the slope sideways. I recommend up and down the slope though for better cut quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy Buy Compared several similar small riding mowers and choose the Cub cadet CC30. I've a 1/2 acre property and the mower works great. Good design well constructed. Now into my second year of ownership and no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Know Why I Waited So Long! I love my Cub Cadet riding mower. I tried neighborhood kids, but they always have something else to do when the grass needs cutting. I tried a lawn service, and they came with those oversize mowers and manhandled my yard. Now I cut my own grass anytime I want to, don't wait for anybody, and get a beautiful cut each time. My yard is sloping, but I am learning how to cut it safely by going slow and not going sideways on the slopes. If your knees have given out, like mine, get this riding mower and enjoy cutting the grass again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More good than bad In reading other reviews I don't want to repeat all the same things. Like the CC30. Mow about a half acre on flat to slight banking lawn. Does a nice smooth even job. Actually for a mower, comparatively comfortable. Good turning radius. Good power. The only drawbacks are one that was an easy fix and the other will have to just get used to. The F-R shift knob came off the 1st time I used it as another had said. Took an alligator hose clamp and snugged it around the base of the knob above the shaft and no movement, no problem. The only Achilles heel on it is the location of the F-R lever. Being in front of the seat between the legs is very awkward. Sure would have been a better design if it were on the side and maybe the PTO lever in that location where you don't always have to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I visited Tractor Supply, a Cub Cadet dealer, with a 30 minute drive a couple weeks ago, for first hand info and to get a feel and size of the machine. We live in Southern Central Wisconsin. The CC 30 would work just fine for our large city corner lot with our one tree obstacle with some low growing evergreens planted along two sides of the house foundation. I had the CC 30 delivered 2 days later. I liked the bumper to bumper warranty, the engine is their own built, with assembly factory in Ohio. The seat is very comfortable with a heavy duty spring underneath to cushion some of the bumps, the engine is almost 12hp, the exterior gasoline viewing level is really nice, the controls are well positioned, and the front viewing when mowing, is perfect. The cup holder, I will make use of that during the summer heat. I have found the CC 30 very easy to maneuver with mulching attachment and very happy with this new investment for only the short time I have owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have a fairly hilly yard that I was mowing by push mower. I am 69 years young and it was good excercise, but my wife talked me into getting a rider. I looked at riders and decided to get the CC30 because it was just the right size for my yard. I think a bigger mower would be too much. I still have to push mow some of my yard but it only takes 10 minutes instead of 2 hours. I just love the CC30.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice turning I have many obstacles to cut around turns sharp and cuts even. It may be small but maneuvers excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding function and design Sirs, Two years ago I bought a similar rear-engined riding mower at a lower price from a major national chain. It had so many more shortcomings such as, cutting height was too low or two high, would not mow in reverse, no bagger available, and many. I bit the bullet and am simply amazed at the completely amazing function of the CC-30. It is STRONG, and all the issues were cured over the previous barely used rider, which I sold. I simply love the CC-30. I am a "believer." Boxerboy
