Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Good Value Good Product so far. The advertised turning radius is way overstated, no where near 12 inches. July 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what they use to be We purchased a Cub Cadet about 4 years ago. It is a good think that we also purchased a extended warranty because we have had to have the mower repaired every year since we purchased it. We mow about 1.5 acres of flat land, which should not "stress" a well built lawn mower, however we have had nothing but trouble. We have replaced several belts and pulleys; we have had oil leaks and other engine malfunctions. It is not reliable and it is time to go. After we purchased the mower, we found out that if you wanted to get a good quality cub cadet, you needed to purchase a professional version. We will be purchasing a ZTR John Deere or Kubota. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent mower. Lovin it! So far I have ten hours on my machine and I love it. Cut is excellent. Lots of power. Deck lift and removal works easily. I have many trees and planters to go around and the power steering works great for this. Three family members have bought various cubs after trying mine. I would recommend buying from a dealer instead of box store as the tractor is setup properly. Only thing I don't like is deck wash port I remove the deck to clean and I put a graphite mower deck coating underneath and it barely gets dirty this way. Wish it had accessory plug for sprayer etc. but I installed my own. With regular maintainence and greasing I think this baby will last a long time. June 18, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I have replaced 2 starters. The first one after 3 years and now it needs another. It is only started about 4 times a month. I have to remove the belt covers on the deck to remove the grass clippings. If I dont then the belt will come off. My opinion? Kohler and Cub Cadet are nothing like the were 20 years ago. Next mower purchase will be from and authorized dealer and not from a big box store. I guess you get what you pay for. April 3, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute GARBAGE! Beware. Cub Cadet quality has suffered in a major way in recent years. Please do yourself a favor and research the numerous problems reported online before making this purchase. September 12, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product. I have always preferred Cub Cadet. The Lawn Tractor had a dead battery when it was delivered. It would not start even when charged. Took the battery to the local Home Depot in Burlington NC. They gave me a replacement, but it was not a new battery. It had to be charged in order to start. I took that battery to a local Hardware store and had to pay $60.00 to get a new battery. Very Disappointed with this issue! February 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Would Buy Again I purchased this mower in May of 2013 after much debate. I could not decide if i wanted a zero turn or a tractor. Needing a tractor more than a zero turn the decision was made. I was a little reluctant at first to spend so much on a tractor, however I have no regrets after my almost year of ownership. Now to the negative stuff, first as mentioned in a previous review the oil change is challenging and with my oil service port not being securely tightened into the engine it unscrewed and poured oil all over the pulleys and deck on the mower. This took some time to clean up however i was the able to move it to the other side of the engine where it should make for faster oil changes next time. The other issue is the sharp turns the power steering makes. This can be a little daunting as it leaves little circles in your yard from the tires chewing on the grass, however i have learned to make my turnarounds in reverse and no problem there. Love the tractor plenty of power amazingly smooth ride for a tractor and im not a little guy so comfort is important. I pull a yard sweeper a 15 gallon sprayer as well as a trailer from time to time and have yet to have any issue with it pulling anything i hook it to. Aside from a few snags i love the way it cuts, very smooth for such a large deck. I mow 2-3 acres with this mower and look forward to many summers of manicuring my lawn with this tractor April 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough machine Sometimes starts hard but never fails to start. I cut 4 acres of uneven country land and it does a great job, even on the hilly grades. I would definitely buy another one based on my experience with this one. It goes through some pretty tuff stuff that my old tractor wouldn't. April 19, 2013
