Pros: Starts on first pull, produces an even cut, mulches well
Cons: Height adjustment is only in coarse increments; front and rear adjustment levers are on opposite sides of the mower; the oil dipstick is difficult to read; there is no engine speed adjustment.
Comments: I've had this mower for about 3 weeks now and am satisfied, so far. It's nothing fancy, just a basic mower that's adequate for my small yard. It is not hard to push (I have some slopes and uneven ground) but I would opt for a model with larger wheels if buying again.
I ordered it online and it arrived VIA UPS in 3 days. It only needed to have its handled unfolded and tightened, grasscatcher assembled, and gas and oil added. The only problem was that a bolt had vibrated loose from the handle and was lost in shipment. A replacement took another week to arrive. Luckily, I had a similar one in my toolbox and didn't have to wait.

I got this mower because my old Craftsman mower just wasn't doing it. The main problem was that the chute into the bag was too small and clogged immediately (I tried many ways to fix this problem) and left most of the cut grass in the yard, which as you know, will choke new grass. It had its blade sharpened every year but it was underpowered, hard to start, and in general, just a piece of junk.
Enter the new Cub Cadet! I am a small, middle-aged woman who does almost all of our family's yard work; its a great way to keep in shape. This mower has made my life easier. Besides being a beautiful machine and almost always starting on the first pull, it is powerful and easy to maneuver. While it does leave a small amount of clippings on the ground while removing the bag, the amazing part is how much it does pick up! I don't see big clods of dead grass all over the place, which then require raking. I love it!
The only con I can think of is the "deck washing system", which doesn't work for me but also, in no way affects the mower operation.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Susie A walk behind mower that has many nice features.
Easy to assemble and operate, lightweight, nice features (examples; under deck wash, comfort of the handle blade control). Mulching is not optimum (blows leaves in front of the mower instead of mulching).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by zimmie1987 Excellent Mower! Well-Rounded Choice!
I recently purchased my first home and needed a mower for the small to moderate-sized yard of my city home. The mower was simple to assemble and has started on the first pull every time. The mower performs well with an even cut and no clumping of grass clippings. I mainly use the mower with the rear bag due to the fact my lawn is relatively small. The mower mulches well, however I can not attest to using the side discharge option.
This mower is a great option if you have a small or moderate sized yard where a self-propelled mower would be unnecessary. The mower is simple, has a solid construction, performs well, and looks great!
You may be tempted to get a less expensive mower, as this one is moderately priced for a non self-propelled model, but so far it has been well worth the price paid.
The only qualm I had was that the mower was always on back-order. Once I finally was able to order the mower, it was on back-order again for several weeks. Now I know why... This is a fine piece of machinery!

I've had the mower for a couple months now. Fairly easy assembly. Starts on first pull every time, does not smoke. My yard has a lot of beds and shrubs, so I'm pushing the mower in and out of them. My last mower the height controls for the front wheels would catch on bushes and the deck would accidently drop down, scalping the lawn. The height control levers on this mower are beefy and have not slipped a single time. My only complaint, and I would have charged the rating a half star, not a full one, is the grass bag is smaller than I'd like. But I've noticed that the grass bags are smaller on most mowers than they used to be.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CD54 Cub Cadet SC100 21" walk behind mower
I have mowed my yard 4 times since delivery which was earlier than estimated by Home Depot. Assembly was quick and easy, has started on first pull every time so far. I used the side discharge and the mulching features and have found them to work as expected. I do not bag so I can not say how that works. One thing I love about this mower is the run time on a tank of fuel, it easily runs for 1 hr and 45 mins without refueling. That was unexpected, something my last mower could never do. The engine has not bogged down even after skipping a week when my old mower blew up. It seems to be quieter than the old mower and the push handle grips dampen the minimal vibration. Overall very happy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NewHomeowner Really Good So Far
I've only had it for a month but I've been very pleased so far. I have a quarter acre with a big slope in the front and I', enjoying this more that my self-propelled troy built simply because it's lighter and more manageable. Easy to set up, like the handle on the front for loading it into a truck, and it looks really cool (as cool as a mower can look). Only issue I've seen so far is that , while the bag is attached, it doesn't seem to put all the lawn clippings in the bag leaving maybe 15% on the lawn. If that's the only issue I run into, I'll be very happy with this mower for years to come.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mowerkiller Great until it died.
After reading all kinds of reviews selected this mower. Got it. Put it together in minutes, fired it up , loved it! It mulches great, fired right up worked well. Second time I used it the height control wouldn't stay where I set it and after mowing for about 20 minutes front axle broke, right wheel went under mover and mower shredded it and blew both wheels and front axle off. Entertaining but not what I had in mind. Axle is apparently held in place with plastic fittings which I find a bit silly.
I didn't mistreat the mower in any way so I can only assume that there is a design flaw.
Took it back to Home Depot and they were great about the return.
