When reading these reviews, do you consider how long the reviewer has owned the product?
Most companies, it seems, send out a request for comment / review within 30 days of one having received their product; no where near enough time using the product to do a decent evaluation.
I purchased a Cuisinart microwave with convection and grill about four years ago. Admittedly a little while back, and not this particular model; however, I don't believe the model matters as much as the company's
attitude toward quality and customer support.
What I discovered is that while Cuisinart may advertise their "fancy features," it's the basics they skimp on.
Within a year the plastic mechanism that opens the door when one pushes on that button, broke.
I took off the casing to see what had happened and even as a lay person, I could see what was a most ridiculous design of plastic levers and axles that was used to open the door, many of which broke (see arrows.) A simple button on the outside turned into a Rube Goldberg machine on the inside.
The dumbest part of it all is the plastic parts (A) are molded into the casing (B) for the electronics control board . This means when the door switch breaks, according to a highly experienced local repair guy, the entire electronic board has to be replaced at a costs of approximately $150. That does not include any shipping costs, if needed, or taxes.
Do yourself a big favor, do not consider Cuisinart; just keep on shopping...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by 2BunnyPotPies Compact. Well Made. Easy and Works Great!
We needed a compact microwave to fit into a small cabinet cubby space. All the others in this size category seemed a little cheap and underpowered. This little microwave is neither, it cooks quickly and evenly, is very easy to operate and has several nice quick cook convenience features. I also liked that the inside is stainless steel which makes it easy to clean and I liked the pull handle to open the door. No button to break. The turn table is a little squeaky and it is a touch loud at times but nothing major (could just need a little plate adjustment). This is a very nice looking well made appliance and I would recommend it to someone looking for a small stainless steal microwave.

I especially like the look of this microwave--the design is attractive because of the stainless steel and clean lines. Also, the size is just right: plenty of room inside and good power but doesn't take up too much counterspace. Finally, the keypad is uncomplicated and all the express buttons are timed perfectly--I especially appreciate that the defroster doesn't cook whatever I am defrosting, as my previous microwave did. Very happy with my purchase..just bought it, though, so I can't comment on the durability.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Matt High Quality Countertop Microwave
We just remodeled to put a hood over the range, and in the process we had to move from a under-cabinet microwave to a counter-top microwave. This is actually the 2nd microwave I purchased post remodeling. The first was a more expensive and slightly larger microwave made by a major American company. That unit was slightly larger and had a few extra features I would probably never use, but after using it for a few days I was very displeased with the door latch and opening mechanism. Most microwaves in this size range do not have handles, they have push button door mechanisms, and those tend to stick, require more force to close, and eventually wear out.
Fast forward to this microwave. I did a lot more research this time, looking into the top 7 brands, features, price, etc. For my budget and space constraints, this was the best choice. I prefer a handle, and while it may be easier to clean a push button, you get a much more satisfying door closure and the mechanism latching the door should last longer. Take a look at the competing brands and you will have to look long and hard to find one with a handle. Then there is the interior. While a white interior shows the slightest stain and takes more work to clean and keep looking like new, the metal interior of this unit wipes up with ease and (frankly) requires less work to make it sparkle. And finally there is the exterior, which matches the stainless steel appliances much better than other brands, and unlike some other microwaves which look like you just ripped them off the wall, this unit really has a stand alone aesthetic.
Now for the cons. This is more expensive (price per microwave chamber volume) than most microwaves in this size range, and it does not have the seemingly endless presets you find on some microwaves. But none of that really bothers me, as I am willing to pay a little more for a better quality microwave, and I don't need special buttons for cooking tons of odd foods that I would likely never use anyway. The only real complaint I have is in regards to the kitchen timer mode. When you turn the timer on, all other buttons on the microwave are locked. You cannot do anything but cancel the timer. I am probably noticing this more because I used my previous over-range microwave timer all the time when cooking, but it is a bit inconvenient.
Very quick note on packaging. This unit is double boxed with separate padding in each box. The first unit I got (from a different company) had no padding between the outer and inner boxes, and that cause a small dent on the back of the unit. If you are paying this much for a microwave, you want to know it is well packed and delivered w/o any real stress on the door/hinge or any dings.
Otherwise, I've had the microwave for a month and love it. Works great, plenty powerful, easy to clean, easy on the eyes, and only a few bucks more than the competing brands.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by billp This microwave is great
We are redoing our kitchen and putting the microwave in a cabinet. this one is powerful and smaller than others I looked at. It allowed me to shorten the microwave shelf in the microwave cabinet. Great purchase
