We use our brewer every morning and most days I'll have a cup in the afternoon as well. We have it set up so the power shuts off after 1 hour of non-use which is not really a big deal it takes about 1 minute for the water tank to reheat when we power it back on. I love the fact we can set it up to auto power on in the morning so it up and ready when I stumble to the machine for that first needed cup. If I could change anything about this machine I woud make a bigger water tank - just because of how much we do use it. We refill the tank every 3 days really not that much of a big deal and definitely was not a deal breaker for such a great machine.

Great piece of machinery! I love the fact that Cuisinart stands behind this! Our Keurig lasted through a few months in Italy, a move to the US and a major lightening surge. Shortly after that we began having issues with it. I called Keurig and they didn't want to help me at all! I called Cuisinart, and they walked me through a few trouble shooting techniques and then decided to send me a brand new one! Offering a quality product and standing behind that product are two great qualities! My favorite parts are the rinse, hot water and iced coffee/tea options. The one thing I would change about this system is to make it completely drainable!

Im really disappointed that the Cuisinart Brewing System flooded the counter the first time I used it after making 2 12-ounce cups of coffe. Everything was going fine and the setup was easy and I was feeling good about my purchase. And that I didnt have to spend time brewing a huge pot of coffee just to get two cups. I read the other reviews and it seems there is a defect in the Cuisinart system I bought this project yesterday 4/22/2011 and unpacked this morning 4/23/2011 and used it the first time dor breakfast. Took my second cup of coffee upstairs while checking emails. Came back down stairs and found the counter covered with water. [...]

I bought this product for my family. We drink coffee or tea daily. It can be a little noisy but then I run a clearner through it, rinse it (run the whole resevor through - after the cleaner), and it is fine. I love the hot water button for instant oatmeal. I do buy the cups but I also like to use my own coffee or tea. This is our second one of the Cruisinart brand we have owned, our first was shorted out by a blackout. I would and have reconmended it to our friends. I have owned it for years and love it. The only thing I would change is the taller travel mugs do not fit so easily in it; otherwise, I am very satisfied with this product.

I loved this brewer when I first used it. Within a month I had to call for service because it wasn't working. I followed all trouble shooting directions. I got it working but the problem returned two more times within months. The last time I called, they said I was out of warranty and they couldn't help me. What??? The problem was reoccurring! So they support me until I reach warranty and then say I'm stuck and there is nothing they could do. If you have one and run into a problem, don't let them troubleshoot. Demand a new one before the warranty expires. I didn't and now I'm stuck with a broken brewer and no help!

I have had two Keurig Special Edition brewers. Both became very noisy after a short period of use. I wore my first one out (I drink a lot of coffee) and the second one just vibrated terrible and very loud. Saw the Cuisinart and while pricey thought I'd give it a try. While not perfect (it occasionally will not fill the tank without turning off and back on...and the reason for just 4 stars) it is extremely quiet. I like the 12oz dispense size. I use the stronger blends and that gives me the perfect brew. I also like that it has a larger reservoir and the built in filter is a plus in our area. I would purchase this product again and recommend it to all.

LOVE the convenience. Love the neatness of the k-cups, Didn't love the reliability. Nicely styled and has a lot of options -- really like the rinse feature for when switching between tea and coffee. Was able to use my tall cup as well as regular mugs. Issues: 1st -- after about 9 months, it randomly stopped heating the water before "brewing", then it stopped heating water entirely. I used deionized water in it, so there should've been no problem with scale. 2nd -- the plastic cup tray is soft plastic that scratches easily, and the dark color shows it. This was my third K-cup brewer. I am hesitant to go for another. What a shame.

This is an awful machine. My parents have owned two- both broke in less than a year. I have one, less than a year old, that also just broke. The until will start to fail by making partial cups of coffee- half the water goes in the cup, the other half gets flushed back into the tank. Then, it will just stop altogether. You can sometimes get another week or two of use out of the machine by unplugging it for a while, knocking it around, and reseating the water tank. Using this machine can be a terrible way to start the day. Even if they gave the machine away for free, its not worth using if its going to ruin your day. Piece of Junk.
