Answer:
No. You will want to remove the vinyl floor or sheet it with 1/8" plywood first before installing tile. Tile cannot be bonded to vinyl.

Answer:
According to product label, the adhesive should NOT be used over cushion backed vinyl, suggesting vinyl floors not cushioned would be okay. However, the linoleum must be free of loose areas, bubbles, etc. or you may encounter loose or cracked tiles down the road.

Answer:
I would advise you to install a 1/4" concrete board to the vinyl covered floor to insure against possible failure of the bond on the vinyl and ceramic, the only floor I have ever had to reinstall under warranty was a short cut I took by trying to apply the tile over existing vinyl

Answer:
We used it in 3 different ways:
-to adhere mesh sheets of stone and glass tile over existing tile on our bathtub face.
-to adhere same mesh sheets of stone and glass tile as a backsplash over painted drywall
-to adhere Airstone over existing tile on our fireplace.
It held strong on each surface we used, no issues thus far after 1 year. Worked great.

Answer:
It will absolutely work effectively. If there's a sink on this countertop, make sure that it is properly caulked, since water can cause the adhesive to soften up and lose grip. Otherwise, this product works great for countertops and backsplashes.

Answer:
There are no indications or warnings suggesting the adhesive would interact poorly with mesh. The list of applicable surfaces actually suggests the adhesive reacts well with most materials. The adhesive can be used to tile walls, many of which use meshed back tiles.
