Customer Reviews

Aqua Mix Enrich 'N' Seal 1/2-gal. Penetrating Sealer is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best product there is for what its meant to do First of all let me respond to the other reviews. Yes, if you track wet feet in your house it will leave a residue that is hard if not impossible to get up but why would you do that? Secondly, Yes, this will change the color of your grout and any natural stone. That is EXACTLY what it is suppose to do. Does anyone actually research a product before they buy it? This is the best stuff there is for what its made to do. Seal and Enhance without the "wet" look. It REALLY darkens the color and brings out the natural old stone look with colors in the stone you didn't even know were there. I can't tell you how much we liked this on our back splash in the kitchen. So much that I spent crazy $$ do put in on our natural stone patio. I don't like the wet look and i love natural stone so this does exactly what we wanted it to do. When you have a lot of stone it tends to wash out in the sunlight and this brings the individual colors out of the stone from red and green specs to gold and black to a rainbow of small pieces of different colors in the natural rock. We will see how well it does outside over time but I can tell you its waterproof but lets the stone breath at the same time. The bad: Its permanent. Test a small area if you are concerned. Don't wear your shoes though the house after you have stepped in it until it completely dries. Its crazy expensive although a little goes a long way but I do feel its still too expensive. It will change the color of your stone and grout to a darker color but personally I think this is a feature not a bad thing. In all cases. Do your research on a product before you use it. If you just want to seal what you have don't use this stuff. Get a clear sealer. This is probably the #1 product used by high end professionals who want this kind of look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Changes color of natural travertine stone. Do not use on natural travertine. It lost all of its natural features and changed the color of the stone. I like the product on tile but not on stone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very difficult to work with we are building a new house and are using this product in some areas to enrich the color and another brand, Stonetech, to simply seal other areas. this aquamix products is much, much more difficult and less forgiving than the other. This one streaks, dries slowly and is very difficult to work with having to go over freshly sealed areas in order to clean off excess sealer and this also really slows down the speed with which you can get the job totally sealed. Don't use this one, try something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor leaves oilly film that can't be removed without stripping. Terrible product. The oilly film tracked into house and eslewhere. This can't be removed by even pressure washing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product I first was introduced to Enrich 'N' Seal about 7 years ago when I was building my house. I have a lot of natural stone and slate that looks best with that wet but not shiny look. This product does just that. Not only does it enhance the stone and slate but it lasts a really long time. I haven't reapplied it to any of the tiles in my house and they all look like they did when I first applied Enrich 'N' Seal to them 7 years ago. I had a couple slate tiles in my bathroom that I installed after I applied the Enrich 'N Seal because I ran out of tiles. I still haven't sealed them and if you dip water on them they immediately soak up the water and leave a wet spot where the sealed tiles don't soak up any water and leave so water mark when dried. This product isn't labeled for masonry products such are concrete countertops but I figured that if it worked so well on my tiles, I might as well give it a try on my countertops. I just finished grinding and polishing concrete countertops that I custom made. I added seashells and pea gravel to the form and colored the concrete with charcoal dye. I ground and polished them to a near mirror finish. I had a little mix left over so created a test slab and applied Enrich 'N' Seal to it. It brought out the colors and looks great a month later. Water just beads up on it. I went ahead and sealed the countertops with it as well. Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews about how this product enhanced their tile instead of just sealing it. This products is designed to do just that. Enrich and Seal! If you don't want the enhancement/enrichment, get the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold. It's designed to seal but not change the appearance. Also, I've used this product on many different surfaces over the years with absolutely no problems. If applying to stone with a naturally dusty, soft surface, you MUST clean it thoroughly first. I recommend doing so by hand with microfiber towels and water or cleaner made just for your type of natural stone. Clean over and over again until the towels stays clean and the water stays clear. Let dry, they apply Enrich 'N' Seal. Don't let it puddle. Apply it evenly. If you see streaks forming, apply a little more. Wipe off any excess within 5 minutes. Use a disposable applicator. I left a cotton rag saturated with this stuff on the counter for a few days and when I found it, it was totally hard. I tried rinsing it with water and washing it in the washing machine and it was still hard as a rock and didn't change shape. This is a really awesome enhancer and sealer and I highly recommend it.
