CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mortar does NOT bond to tiles I tried to use this product today to lay porcelain tile in the bathroom. The product sets very quickly & failed to bond to back of tile!! Had to dump 80% of the mortar & pull up the tiles I attempted to set. After 2 hours the tiles were still loose! After I pulled tiles, some had absolutely NO mortar attached ! I would never use this product again! Returning other bag I previously purchased. Attached is a photo of the back of the tiles. March 4, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product Good As Expected. The product was easy to mix and apply. The quality of this mortar appears to be very good. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent bonding ability I used this to put travertine on top of previous ceramic tile in a large shower enclosure. I called the co. and they said to rough of the ceramic tile with a course circular sander/grinder. It has been over ten years not a single cracked or lifted tile. Incredible bonding, excellent for vertical surfaces. March 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PRODUCT JUST SO YOU KNOW YOUR CHOICE OF THINSET IS VERY IMPORTANT WHEN LAYING TILE, DONT JUST BUY ANY THINSET THATS OUT IN THE MARKET, SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND BUY THIS FLEXBOND CRACK PREVENTION PRODUCT AND YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG. I HAVE USED IT ON MANY PROJECTS WITH HEAVY FOOT TRAFFIC AND WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES. WHEN I USED JUST ANY THINSET THE GROUT ON THE TILE EVENTUALLY WOULD START TO CRACK ON MY FLOOR, NOW YOUR THINKING I MIGHT NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL TILE PROPERLY IF MY GROUT IS CRACKING BUT MY SUBFLOOR HAS 24" ON CENTER JOISTS AND 3/4 PLY, NOW THATS ENOUGH TO MAKE THE FLOOR FLEX WHEN PUTTING YOUR FULL WEIGHT ON IT EVEN WITH 1/2" CEMENT BOARD. SINCE USING THIS PRODUCT I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE GROUT LINES CRACKING OR ANYTHING. I AM NOT A CONTRACTOR BUT I HAVE TILED OVER 800SQ FT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WHO'S TILING. IT DOES WHAT IS SAYS ON THE BAG. October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to work with. This mortar is easy to mix, apply and clean-up. Would definitely use it again. October 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wanted to ensure a strong floor I used this brand instead of a less expensive one because of the claims about crack prevention on a tile floor. I suppose time will tell. When mixed, the consistency seemed thicker than other brands I've used. September 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy to work with I chose this type of mortar because we were using porcelain tiles in our bathroom remodel, and the information in Home Depot indicated this type was a better choice than others. We used Schluter's Ditra and Kerdi for our underlayment, and used this mortar underneath and over it, below the porcelain tiles. My husband stated that he really liked how well the mortar performed, and he's a professional home builder, so he knows his mortar. I would definitely buy it again. September 4, 2012
