I won't be easy. I mixed powered grout remover a tad strong. Make sure it's well ventilated. A scrounge pad and patience. It takes alot of work.

This is a great product and it appears you didn't clean the surface sufficiently. Try Aqua Mix® Grout Haze Clean-Up, make sure you test it before applying. In the future, Fusion Pro drys quickly, make sure you wipe all excess.

Hydrochloric acid is usually sold in low concentration as muriatic acid. It will usually take off all kinds of grout haze , given enough time.

Hello Leanna. Very sorry for the situation with the grout, actually I was asked to answer due a review I posted about this product, I am a pro, I have had the same situation with the product, I'm guessing you waited too long to clean it, anyway 5 minutes is enough to get a mess and yes, to have the situation you have, I can not tell, I avoid the product but when used in very little projects I just try to start cleaning right after the application, always with the risk of washing grout away but due the fast curing time, it is the only way, it has a strong chemical that causes what you referred, I would recommend you contact manufacturer in order to find a compatible cleaner capable to remove the stains, don't use it again, in my pro opinion, use conventional grout, wait until totally cured and apply the best sealer you can find.

I plan on grouting 2 different tiling projects about 7 to 10 days apart ... and using the same container of grout. After I open and close the container for Project 1, will the grout harden and become unusable by the time I start Project 2? Both tiling projects will only take 30 minutes to complete.

Answer:
This is exactly why this product is so useful. You can open the container, grout Project 1, close it completely, and then grout Project 2. You could even do it if these projects were months apart, instead of only 10 days.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 272 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great for me. I believe the split reviews are due to application error on the installers part. I am no grout pro, have done 4 or 5 different grout jobs. Decided to use this because it is pre mixed and doesn't require sealing. I used the Delorian Grey on my bright white, glossy 4 x 10 wall tiles and my white mosaic floor tiles. You need to do smaller sections at a time than usual, I did about 3 x 4 areas and had no problem removing haze. Also, once completely dry mine was very hard and stable. If you truly read the instructions and follow them, you should have no problem. April 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 3 callbacks so far. This stuff does not cure well. It was very hard to work with. I have had to go back three times to one job because it has been coming out of joints on a shower floor. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gray with a touch of blue No complaints about this product. Fusion Pro pre-mixed grout is an awesome, easy to use product. One caveat. Check the color carefully before use. We bought the Delorean gray liking the lighter gray look. However, it wasn't until we had grouted our project that we noticed that there was a blue tint August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid This Like The Plaugue I am a tile professional that has been installing for 20 + years. I do a lot of work for one of the large home improvement chains, that I won't name, but you can guess. Recently, they started providing this garbage for us to use on installs. This stuff is so difficult to clean and finishes so poorly that it literally takes 4-5 times as long to grout than with the traditional cementitious grout that every sane person on Earth has been using since Roman times. In addition to just being a worthless mess that is impossible to clean or control the consistency of, it ruins your tools and clothing. I wouldn't recommend this garbage to anyone to save my life. If I could give it a negative 100 stars, I would. July 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Having a hard time believing the positive reviews The last time I grouted my shower was nearly 10 years ago, and it began cracking and falling out so it was time. I decided to rip it out and replace it with a bathtub, and while at Home Depot, an employee recommended I use Fusion Pro since I wouldn't be doing a floor, just walls. Probably the worst recommendation I've ever had from Home Depot. After tiling and waiting a full week until the following weekend (Custom recommends at least 72 hours) I grouted and man, this stuff is hard to work with. It hazes terribly if you try to do more than 1 or 2 sq feet at a time, and since I was applying grey grout to white subway tile, it was easy to spot. You can't let it dry or it is super hard to wipe off. After the installation, cleanup, and waiting another full week, my family began using the shower. I immediately noticed sand in the tub and didn't think much of it assuming it was just loose runoff. Unfortunately it wasn't. The grout was disintegrating. Over $100 worth of grout was literally going down the drain. It's been a month and I now have entire lines of grout missing, especially in locations where there is more water contact. The stuff is so soft I can scratch it out with my finger nail. Effortlessly. It might as well be made of play-doe. I tried contacting Custom Building Products multiple times by email and phone, and finally got someone on the line. They declined to cover the product under their "lifetime warranty" because of installer error. I DID EVERYTHING THEY RECOMMENDED. And the worst part is, no other grout product on the market has such a rigorous installation routine, and apparently ALL OF THEM ARE MORE DURABLE. Trust the negative reviews. This stuff is garbage and Home Depot should pull it from the shelves. It might work for a kitchen backsplash, but even then, behind a sink, I suspect it would fall apart under constant splashing. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the extra money This was the first time we had tiled/grouted. I did quite a bit of research to find a product that would be manageable, easy and generally 'error proof'. This is the one. There are videos on YouTube to take you through the benefits (you don't have to seal since it has epoxy and there is no mixing) and the process (go a few sq feet at a time and grout and then wipe down as you go). It worked great. Grouting with a float definitely has a technique (especially for walls) to avoid too much waste, but the clean-up was quick and easy and what did drop didn't hurt anything. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grout This pre-mixed grout was easy to use and matched my tile perfectly. It is being used in a tile back splash behind the stove. It hasn't been long enough to know if the non-stain component lives up to the claim, but I am excited that it is even possible. It cleans up really well. October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product as described. Very good Is basically waterproof after curing. No sealing required as water beads up on it. Color matches it's bagged counterpart very well. A little tough to keep tile clean during installation but when you are done, you're done. April 30, 2014
