This MultiSet 50 lb. Modified Thin-Set Mortar offers good bond strength for floor, wall and countertop tile installations. The mortar can be applied to concrete, backerboard and existing ceramic tile. Mixes with additive (sold separately) for increased bond strength.

Answer: 
A 4" x 18" x 3/8" marble tile would be considered a large format tile and would be recommended to set with a large format tile mortar like our "Natural Stone and Large Tile Premium Mortar". If the marble is moisture-sensitive or resin-backed, Our "EBM-Lite 100% Solids Epoxy Bonding Mortar" would be recommended. Can this be used on 12" granite tiles, on countertops backed with harie backer, mixing with water only? Coutertops are reinforced every 16".
