Product Overview

OmniGrip's unique formula sets a radical new standard, offering many benefits not found in traditional tile adhesives. Formulated with more solids and less water, OmniGrip shrinks up to 33% less than traditional adhesives ensuring maximum coverage and superior bonds. This high-polymer formula remains flexible allowing a wide variety of applications. Recommended to bond porcelain, marble, granite, stone, ceramic, mosaic and quarry tile up to 8 in. x 8 in. for interior use only. Can be used with tile up to 18 in. x 18 in., but dry time significantly increases. Dry time will be extended if using larger tiles, bonding to non-porous surface, in high humidity or if temperature is below 60 Degree F. Do not apply excess adhesive when installing.

California residents: see   Proposition 65 information

  • Ideal for smaller format tile and stone installations
  • Powerful bond strength and great durability in areas with intermittent water exposure
  • Light weight helps prevent sagging and makes carrying easy
  • Standard dry time for 8 in. x 8 in. tile is 24-72 hours before applying grout
  • Open and adjustment times of more than 1 hour
  • Dry time will be extended if using larger tiles and in high humidity or temperatures below 60 Degree F

Can this adhesive be used for 12×12 granite tiles on hardy backer in a shower?

Asked by: dacfre58
No, it is not water proff only water resistent. I would not use it in the shower. Plain old thin-set will work the best.

Why does this product say it can be used on floors when most reviewers say that is should not be used on floors?

I just had my bathroom floor tiled with 6 x 24 tiles and the installer used this product. Now I am concerned that I am going to have issues down the road.It looks good and he did wait 2 days for it to dry before he grouted it.

This product is great for wall tile applications, flooring is another story. I used a 1/4 inch notched trowel. Base was 1/2 dry concrete board. Tile used: 12", 6", and mosaic 2" x 2". After 72 hours, you could still move the tile by walking on it. I had to straighten the joints and was not happy. I am waiting 144 hours before grouting. Do not buy the most expensive products on the shelf !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ZERO STARS! NEVER, EVER DRIES! WORST waste of time & money I have EVER experienced! It's been 5 days and it's looking like it will be weeks before I can grout. Even bought a room heater and box fan for the 9 X 11 entry vestibule I tiled, and have had the room at a constant 86 degrees! Barely starting to firm up. DO NOT BUY! SERIOUSLY! I've even set a thin strip of the adhesive on TOP of the tile just to see what's happening with its dry time, and it's STILL rubbery and moist 5 days later! Just imagine what it's like under the tile! Can't even use my front door entry. FURIOUS!

Once you set it in place, it takes some good muscle to move it around. (I was using 18 inch tile on the wall.) I didn't find the coverage listed on the bucket to be accurate. Using the correct notch size, I only got about half the labeled coverage. Buy extra and return if you don't open the extra bucket, but you probably will need it.

This is the second time I have used the product, it works well and bonds really well. I have used it to bond cement board to plywood along with screws it makes a rock sold bond. I also used it for the tiles to cement board, both very large 18" tiles down to 4" all have held strong in the original application over 1.5 yrs ago. So good I keep purchasing it.

My subfloor flexes no matter what I do so I asked the experts what to do to stop my tile from popping lose. They told me to use this because it remains flexible while holding the tiles in place. Used it on 17 18x18 tiles and all of them are now held tight in place.
