I have been advised by a professional that I should use a grout with a latex or similar additive to give the grout flexibility to prevent cracking. Does this product contain such an additive or do I need to add it separately when mixing? Thank you.

My computer monitor makes the platinum look slightly blue colored. Does it actually look like this or is it really just a light gray color?

Thanks

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 581 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality sanded grout! A good quality grout and reasonably priced. Has good workable time allowance prior to setting up. April 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very unhappy with product. I have installed plenty of grout. This time I am extremely unhappy with the finished color! As someone who knows how to tile and grout my work is always perfect except for this time. After I opened the grout bag to me the grout looked light. I dry mixed the grout to be sure and blend the color in perfectly. I had three bags all from the same lot. When I was installing the grout my wife even commented the grout looked light color but we know when the product dries the color will change. As you can see in the photos it is not even close to antique white! When I install grout I use the minimal amount of water possible to be sure and not wash out the grout color. I also use water which has been filtered, to remove the chlorine from it, also to be sure not to bleach out the color. To remove the haze from the tile I use a small damp sponge and get close but not touch the grout lines. I am neurotic when it comes to my tile work and in a 20x20 foot room there is no more than a 1/8" variance from one end to the other. Now I have 422 square foot of lousy grout color. I will purchase and dye the grout, to the proper color, but I should not have to do the extra work and spend the extra money which will be at least $100.00 wasted! This is the first time in 20 years I have had a grout color issue! March 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mixes well and dries true to color This sanded grout is easy to mix and the color is just what I expected. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is that the bag is so big and heavy. I'm a mosaic artist, and I only need a half cup or so to grout a stepping-stone project. If I could buy a 10-pound bag, instead of 25 pounds, I'd be really happy. Note for those who work with mosaics: it's best to work in cool weather; overcast is ideal, but early morning works too. This grout dries at a slow enough pace that you can undo and redo small areas if needed. August 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Tile Choice on my part. The Delorean Tile Grout is beautiful and matches the tile and allows more light into the room. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I buy Home Depot's grout over the tile store grout every time. Great consistency and color match. I have been able to go back a year later for homeowner damage and this grout was a perfect match - incredible! July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Looking Flooring Grout matched the tile perfectly. Easy to install. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grout! I had to go to several stores before finding the color of grout I was needing to finish my kitchen backsplash and with help from the knowledgiible staff I found it! thanks so much Home Depot!!! June 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Use only if you like to gamble The color swatches are simply a slight guide as to what color you will actually achieve. I wanted a dark grout, that was not quite black, to go with my black penny tile. However the "New Taupe" dried almost WHITE. I cannot even explain how dissatisfied I am. The whole look of the floor is ruined, and because it is penny tile we have no options to re-stain a darker color. So much money down the drain. The quality control of this company is deplorable.
