I recently tiled my entire basement, and the pros that did it somehow messed up the grouting process. The grout it dark (mottled?) in some areas, light in others, and the correct color in about 70 percent of the 500 SqFt area. It's been about a week, can I use colorant of the same color to fix the mistakes? Will the colors match?

A friend used a similar product and used the applicator bottle. She said it applied a fine line, easy to brush, and easier to stay within the grout line. What do you think?

Answer:
You can use any type of applicator bottle that works best for you. I would recommend using a tooth brush or other soft bristle brush once it's applied to the joint to ensure that it's applied evenly and that you get complete coverage over the textured grout joint. If you use a tooth brush you can cut down the outer bristles to make it more narrow to fit your joints. For further information please Read More

Answer:
Though the Polyblend Grout Renew Colorant would most likely bond to the edge of the tile, it can only be warranted when installed over grout. For further assistance please contact our Care and Maintenance division at 800.272.8786 option 3

What a great idea! In my opinion, yes it would work and will probably make the fireplace look very fresh, yeah! I'd try it in a small area first and be sure to try at least 2 different colors because it can look different depending on lighting, et

Answer:
I think it will - if it's got a sandy/grainy texture and not sealed. Clean well with vinegar-hydrogen peroxide & brush, rinse & let dry. Then try on an inconspicuous area. Both grout & mortar and cementy type products. Good luck - I'm sure it will work well. Just take care to wet wipe any excess that gets on the brick immediately.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best grout option for small vintage tiles Polyblend worked with 1950's small vintage tiles. I used a small paint brush to fill the grooves and wiped the tiles with a rag using equal parts vinegar and water as I went along. I did a small area waited a minute or so and then wiped the excess product. Make sure you don't leave haze on your tiles or you might find that it's impossible to remove. rinse your rag regularly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product This Grout Renew Colorant product is wonderful. After the prep work is done for this process, the results are amazing. The grout colorant is a little time consuming to put on but the results look so nice. Looks like when you first had the tile installed. July 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product but dries fast!! Keep your area small Product did a great job of covering old grout and replacing areas that had "washed away". But don't make the mistake I did and try to cover too large of an area at once, at least not if you are a DIYer. It dried faster than I expected and I made a lot of additional work for myself. Keep it small!! April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this product!!! Great results! The previous homeowners added a new shower addition and used Polyblend grout for our shower in "Summer Wheat" to complement the new tile walls of our shower. Since they did not lay new floor tile, they treated the existing floor tile grout with Polyblend "Sandstone" Grout Renew to re-color the old grout. While this looked nice, I preferred to update the floor grout tile color with the same color as the new shower grout, since it was available online in the Grout Renew product in the same color hue "Summer Wheat". Am I glad I did!!! It really warmed up the floor and compliments the new shower tile addition to make the entire bathroom renovation look seamless and cohesive! This product is super easy to use, following the directions given, and I love the result. I attached a few photos mid-way through the process so you can see the difference of the "Sandstone" color (which was the previous homeowners choice and is a bit more gray) against the warmer color of "Summer Wheat"! I love my results and am thrilled with this product!!! October 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by After thought. Wanted grout darker than store had available. Easy to use. Wipe it on and wipe it off with wet sponge and it's done. Small areas, use a small paint brush. It is just like paint. Try it. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by grout saver My floor was put in but never sealed so the grout was filthy after only a year. I knew my floor was clean but the stained grout said something else! Picked this up in snow white and I could not be happier! Any paint that got on the tile was easily removed with a blade. After I was done I sealed the grout. Happy with the result! September 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by looks like a third grader colored my tiles Spent about 12 hours cleaning and polishing tile in my shower as I did not want to have to demo and redo it. Tile ended up looking great, almost brand new. Then I decided to see if I could use this product to renew the grout before re-caulking and basically having a new looking shower with tile and grout. Put it on and it looks like a third grader colored all over my tiles. Even after scrubbing with the SOS pad and following directions just as the video provided the edges are not straight and uniform like grout should be. If you try to scrub it harder to get the remaining bit off the tile edges leaving the grout only then the product comes off the grout too. Now I get to demo my shower and start from scratch after putting in a solid few days trying to avoid that. VERY POOR PRODUCT... STAY AWAY IF YOU LIKE CLEAN STRAIGHT GROUT LINES. Dear polyblend if you read this would you please send my 50sqft of new tile. Thanks for nothing! September 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Polyblend Antique White Grout Renew Colorant This is a time consuming process, but so worth the results! I now have brand new looking tile and couldn't be happier! It is fast drying, so don't pour a lot into your container or it will start to set up. I used a glass ramekin and washed it out when I was through. I did two bathrooms, long hallway, small laundry area and kitchen with one bottle. This is an answer to my prayers! September 6, 2016
