I had a contractor install ceramic wood-like tiles. I bought this grout for 1/16th lines. Unfortunately this grout came out lighter, almost white in majority of the places. Very few places have the true color. Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

Answer:
Color variations can occur in any Portland-Cement product including grout. Efflorescence (whitish powder) can also occur. Typically, a sulfamic-acid cleaning will alleviate this discoloration. For further assistance please contact our installation division at 800.272.8786 option 2

Noticed this right away but let it dry completely and it is still gray and it has been a month. I am going to request that he remove the grout and reapply but worried it will turn out the same.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by Polyblend Non-Sanded Grout I like this product, looks nice and easy to use... just mix with water September 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0by Cracked and Inconsistent Color I bought the Charcoal color of this non-sanded grout. The problem struck when it was drying. My tiles we spaced 1/8 of an inch apart which the bag clearly states will work. I mixed the grout very well with a drill and paddle yet it still cracked and the color was all over the place. Some spots were almost white and others were grey and everywhere in between. I would not recommend this product at all. October 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by Great White Grout This product is non sanded and was easy to mix and apply, dried in a reasonable time. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by Bright white is white! We wanted grout to work with a glass mosaic marble tile--- part was glass, part frosted glass and part of it is marble. The grout stayed white it didn't darken up it's perfect art on the backsplash. Sealed it few days after installation. Great DIY for our weekend October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by Worked fine to regrout shower Good quality and easy to use. I wish I could buy it in smaller quantities as I only used 1 pound of the 10 pound box to re-grout the entire shower floor. September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0by good product Your website was extremely helpful in finding the product I needed. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by Easy to use. Easy to use. Good advice from Home Depot Attendant on installation July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by Polyblend Grout was Easy to Use I used the Polyblend bright white grout for both the mosaic and porcelain tiles in my first DIY shower installation. The grout was easy to mix using a mixing tool attached to my electric drill. Non-sanded was chosen because spacing was 1/8 inch or less. Tiles were applied to walls and ceiling and non-sanded used on those surfaces. The product mixes to a nice lump free consistency and spreads smoothly. Clean up of excess was easy as the product does not dry too quickly. The product was also used with mosaic and marble pencil molding from Home Depot to create a backsplash above the bathroom vanity.
