Can I use this to color the unfinished raw edge of my tile? We should have used a bullnose or edge piece but we didn't.

Answer:
Though the Polyblend Grout Renew Colorant would most likely bond to the edge of the tile, it can only be warranted when installed over grout. For further assistance please contact our Care and Maintenance division at 800.272.8786 option 3

I am considering buying this product but am wondering how long does it last before needing to reapply it. Also, would I need to use a sealer too?

Answer:
Polyblend Grout Renew Colorant's expected wear will vary depending on surface traffic and can be re-applied as necessary. Polyblend Grout Renew Colorant is a pigmented sealer, so applying additional sealer is unnecessary. For further assistance please contact our Care and Maintenance division at 800.272.8786 option 3

I recently tiled my entire basement, and the pros that did it somehow messed up the grouting process. The grout it dark (mottled?) in some areas, light in others, and the correct color in about 70 percent of the 500 SqFt area. It's been about a week, can I use colorant of the same color to fix the mistakes? Will the colors match?

A friend used a similar product and used the applicator bottle. She said it applied a fine line, easy to brush, and easier to stay within the grout line. What do you think?

Answer:
You can use any type of applicator bottle that works best for you. I would recommend using a tooth brush or other soft bristle brush once it's applied to the joint to ensure that it's applied evenly and that you get complete coverage over the textured grout joint. If you use a tooth brush you can cut down the outer bristles to make it more narrow to fit your joints. For further information please Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE THIS STUFF!! I absolutely LOVE this stuff. My tile is OLD...20 years old. The original grout color was platinum grey, but is now almost black. I've gone on hands and knees to scrub the grout only to have the dirty, black color reappear within a week or two. I want to replace my tile, however I'm not looking forward to moving furniture from each room, or the mess, or the cost! Yes this project was time consuming, but well worth the time and effort. I used an old tooth brush to apply in small sections then waited 20 minutes to allow it to dry. I then used a damp rag and my finger nail to wipe away any excess. This new look will buy me some time and allow me to concentrate on other projects. I'm sooooo happy with the results! June 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Incredible Product That Really Works! Amazing product - just had travertine mosaic backsplash and TV surround tiled. The tile from HD is stunning but the grout was too dark/reddish. I was so disappointed. I searched the internet to see if bleach, or some other product would lighten the color. Then I found a YouTube video for this GroutRenew. I tried the product with a toothbrush as directed, and at first I thought I had ruined the stone because I couldn't stay exactly in the lines. But after completing one row, I wiped with a cloth towel and I was amazed!! The ugly dark grout was perfectly lightened to a light beige/off white color that looks perfect. Tumbled marble is very easy to work with when applying this product. Hard to believe my ten thousand dollar tile install was saved by a $14 product! October 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by From Drab to Fab! II couldn't be more pleased with the dramatic transformation of my kitchen and flooring. My house looks bigger, brighter and modern. I plan on listing my house in the fall and I feel more confident because of Polyblend Grout Renew Colorant. March 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Freshens up bathroom grout I'm really happy with how well this turned out. I thought there was nothing that could be done for the stained, black grout in the bathroom of my 50 year old house, but this made the tile look fresh and clean. I originally bought "antique white" to match the cream-colored tile but it dried gray and made the grout look dingy and unclean. I exchanged it for "bright white" and that made all the difference. I never did find a perfect application tool; I tried a toothbrush, a paintbrush from a craft store and an angled makeup brush. The toothbrush applied the paint the best, but I couldn't avoid getting paint on the tile as well as the grout lines. I had to go back and scrape off the excess paint once it dried (wiping it up as I went also wiped up the paint on the grout). However, if you have the patience, it's well worth it. August 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality...color doesn't match The color of this product is not as displayed. Every product I purchased from this brand is not nearly as labeled. Pewter should be a deeper gray and when applied is almost white. I will be complaining to both homedepot and the manufacturer. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works like a champ! My white tile grout was looking dingy, and I decided it needed an overhaul to give it a more modern, scandinavian look. I went from white to black! I think it turned out great! I will say that this was a very tedious job, I found that it dried super quick, although I would paint a short line. It was hard to scrub off if it dried on the tile before you could get it wiped off. I had to start using a LIGHTLY damp paper towel to help get it off. Let's see how it lasts! January 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent results We were contemplating a complete floor renovation in the entryway because the grout was stained and uneven but the tiles were still in great shape. We decided to try to this product first as it is very inexpensive and if it didn't turn out we would just go back to the first plan of a complete floor renovation... SO happy we tried it. This completely changed the look of the entryway! We are so pleased with the results. We used a small craft brush and bright white to match the baseboards. This is tedious work and did take two coats but for the price and the ease of application it was completely worth it! September 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No more dirty grouts This is a great product. I did everything to make my grouts looks better. I used scrubbing brush with bleach and other cleaners. It was very time consuming and I hated to expose myself o these cleaners. I am glad that I found this product. I simple used my thin painter brush which I purchased for painting class in the past. I applied this product over the old grout. My grouts are like brand new and even my tiles look newer. I do not recommended this product in the bathrooms, shower areas where there are constant exposure to water, showering etc. Pressure of water in these areas makes grout come off. April 23, 2016
