My computer monitor makes the platinum look slightly blue colored. Does it actually look like this or is it really just a light gray color?

Thanks

Answer:
Yes it can but you will probably have to use some blend solution to keep it together..that is the reason for a 1/2 max..because after that it starts falling apart. #lightningco

Answer:
It should work. The only thing I would worry about is that it's being used outside; since the grout joints are over 1", they may crack or break loose with extreme temperatures.

What's the best way to clean off haze without creating more dust? It's only been 24 hours and I read that I should not mop with water until 3 days after grouting. Can I use a damp sponge?

Answer:
Polyblend Sanded Grout residue is typically recommended to be removed with the TileLab Sulfamic Acid Cleaner. If the surrounding tile or stone is sensitive to acids, the Aqua Mix NanoScrub would be recommended. For further assistance please contact our Care and Maintenance division at 800.272.8786 option 3

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by sanded grout This material was easy to work with for the home do it yourselfer. Just follow the directions. Its cheap enough that if you mess up, you can just buy more. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Color does not match sample Recently purchased the oyster gray grout to match the porcelein tile we were having installed professionally. Color when dried turned out to be an off white instead of the color on the bag. A sealer was added to the grout when mixed to repell stains which seemed to be working ok, but now 30 days later once the grout is wet during cleaning it seems to be turning grayer in certain spots. Would never recommend this grout to anyone. July 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High quality grout I hired someone to put in tile flooring did he requested this product to use for the job. He's used it for other jobs that he's done and he likes it Enough that he keeps using the grout. May 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too light! I used the oyster gray and it turned out the color of snow white! It's the second lightest color they carry not what I purchased. I thought that I'd save a few dollars and not buy at a tile store. The $15 I saved wasn't worth a wrong color. I'll never buy flooring products from a big box store again. Hopefully some wet grout sealer will make it darker. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great grout This color looks perfect with the tile option. The grout is super easy to do. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EASY TO MIX AND USE The color of the grout was true to color chart. Easy to mix and use with directions on bag. August 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Grout Color A Major Fail I recently purchased some tile and grout through Home Depot. I chose the tile and grout (Custom Building Products, Oyster Gray non-sanded) according to recommendations on a display at Home Depot. After installing floor tile and grouting, I noticed that instead of the color on the package, the grout (about half of it) dried to an almost white color (not even close to Oyster Gray). The whiteness was not just superficial, but extended throughout the depth of the grout. I took pictures and brought them to the local Home Depot, who gave me a new bag of grout to try, so I returned to the job site the next day, and proceeded to spend the next 8 hours scraping grout out, and then replacing it...it dried to the correct color. However, when I went to grout the shower walls the following day (using the same bag of replacement grout, no less) half of the grout on the walls dried white (as before, not just superficially). 2 different boxes, same issue?? I went back to Home Depot with more pictures, and they offered me a container of pre-mixed grout so I could re-do the job. I scraped all the grout off the shower wall tiles (2 days of scraping at this point, and customer extremely upset... I ended up giving my client a significant discount to de-escalate the situation) and applied the pre-mixed grout, which dried without issue. When it was all said and done, I called Custom Building Products, and spoke to ~~~~, who was not at all interested in what I had to say. I tried to explain that it was as if the grout I had purchased was a mixture of more than one color of grout in the same container...Here I was, thinking that I'm doing the right thing and providing helpful information that would assist in them improving their quality assurance program, but instead, I heard him say something to this effect: "you've been talking for 7 minutes...if you're done speaking, you need to read the container label... it says you should have called us. You must have mixed it incorrectly, or the quality of the water you're using caused it. If you had read the label, you would know you needed to buy a chemical that we sell that would've fixed it." Wow! I told him how I had been working with Home Depot to resolve the problem, and they never told me I needed to buy a chemical product from your company to fix the problem. As a side note, I have since reviewed all of the posted reviews RE CBP grout on the Home Depot website, and about 15 % of the reviews voice the same concerns about markedly incorrect grout colors... When I told him the grout problem almost cost me a client (saving grace was giving a significant discount), and two additional full days of labor with no pay, he said that CBP was not responsible. and I was on my own because I failed to read the fine print on the side of the box...I asked to be transferred to his boss (who was off that day, so I was only able to leave a voice message for the boss)... I never received a return call... What kind of business handles customers that way? Is this your version of excellent customer service??? A month has gone by, and still no call. I have met multiple times with the store manager at my local Home Depot, and he told me that when his employee initially called CBP to address the issue on my behalf, she was treated with the same condescending attitude. The store manager called on my behalf again yesterday, and was told nothing could be done. Considering the fact that CBP is a VENDOR for Home Depot, I would have imagined that they would've wanted Home Depot, at the VERY LEAST, to get great customer service, much less the end-consumer... In the future, I will be buying grout from other sources. The good people at Home Depot have gone out of their way to provide EXCELLENT customer service RE this issue, which is clearly lacking at CBP. I will continue to purchase products from Home Depot, but will go OUT OF MY WAY to avoid buying or using ALL products made by CBP, and will be certain to share my experience in this matter with all my friends, clients, and business associates. I get it now- the reason that CBP does NOT provide a method for posting reviews on its website is because their grout products have a long history of inconsistent coloration, and so this is a great way to minimize discussions to that end, preferring to rest CBP laurels on the "fine print" on the side of it's grout containers. MAJOR FAIL March 17, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Color is way off The company warns that the colors may be off from the color chart. However, I did not expect as drastic of a difference as many shades lighter. I picked Oyster Grey to blend in with the tile. Instead I got the color of Antique white, making the grout stand out a lot and resulting in a completely different look from what I was going for.
