Best if used by is not as helpful as, "Should not be used after" because it leaves people making dangerous guess work of it, or spending money they don't need to.

I am not a professional but am handy and have done other tile projects in my homes. I purchased because the manufacturer said it had a strong hold for wall tiling, which it did, but I found it dried too quickly for my use, compared to standard mortar that I used for the rest of the project. It is lite weight though and bag handling is much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for walls. I am not a tile expert but I have done enough to know this is a great product for wall tile. You should NEVER use mastic for anything but maybe small back splash tile. This will stick your tile to the wall immediately with very little movement until you finish the job and will be ready for grout the next day unlike mastic that can take days to dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ProLite is great! I am a tile setter by trade, and I love using this product. It's great for setting heavier tiles on walls and floors. It really doesn't sag when setting walls, and the 30lb bag as opposed to a 50lb bag is also great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mortar There was no uncertainty using this product. Installing (heavy) 12" x 24" porcelain tiles on bathroom walls was worry free. The bond was strong. Not a single tile slipped or lost its "grip". Also, the bag is easy to manage as it is a mere 30 lbs. I will use this on my future large-format tile jobs.
