Answer:
If this is being used in a tub surround or shower area, I would recommend using cement backer board and then apply this product. That's what I did before installing wall tiles .

Will this redguard show through white marble tiles?

I don't know how transparent the actual tile is, but marble stains quite easily, and theoretically the red could show through. Should I be concerned using redguard with a white natural marble stone flooring?

Answer:
Typically there is no issue installing natural stone over RedGard Waterproofing and Crack Prevention Membrane. It is recommended to skim coat the back of the stone with mortar to ensure even color. If necessary a mock-up installation may be done. For further assistance please contact our installation division at 800.272.8786 option 2

Answer:
2 coats will be more than sufficient to allow water proofing.
Any vapor barrier added would most likely void any warranty and not work with any tile used over it. Plus, it would frankly be a waste of your time and money in doing so if using this effective product.

Answer:
Always seam and tape before , be sure to let cure over night before applying Redgard.
Surfaces should be dust free.
Always read instructions for proper thickness of Redgard.
It won't hurt to bond the floor to wall with Redgard.
Floor to wall seam should be a "soft joint" of silicone where tile from wall meets tile on base.
Chose a matching color silicone caulk , tape off wall and floor tiles

spray silicone with Dirtex window foam cleaner or Dawn dish soap, then set joints with finger . You will need rags or paper towels handy. When silicone is cured remove tape.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Phenomenal Product I absolutely love this product! It is a bit messy to handle at first but once you get the hang of it its great. I applied first coat on the corners and put 6 inch fiber glass tape (ordered online) on it. Then I applied another coat making sure the tape sticks. I also applied this product to the curb n wrapped it with the fiber glass tape. I even applied redgard to the better bench I installed in the shower. I applied 3 coats of redgard to the walls and floor and 4 coats on the corners. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seems to do it's job well. Redgard is a little cosly but it goes on well and creates a solid waterproofing layer. My house came with a shower filled with black mold from the thinset mortar leaking for years whenever the shower sprayed on the walls. Redoing the bathroom was my first project and I'm quite happy picking this as my waterproofing layer. I will note there are a couple spots that after drying didn't seal well and needed to be picked off and redone. The bright red color makes it easy to find anywhere that wasn't covered well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised I used this product to waterproof a concrete floor prior to gluing 3/4 oak flooring down. This product was easy to apply with a roller, dried quickly, and filled in some of the smaller cracks in the concrete. Adhesive seemed to apply well on top of it. Good product. July 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Use! After lots of research we decided to use Redgard over Wonderboard cement board for the very large shower we built. It was easy to use, just like painting. I wore a respirator during application and made sure the room was well ventilated to keep the smell out of the rest of the home. After it dries the smell disappears. I did three coats for enough coverage to waterproof the shower walls and ceiling. I used this along with a traditional shower bed with CPE liner (with radiant heating wire). Modified thinset (Versabond rocks!) had no problem sticking to the Redgard, even using large 12x24" tiles on part of the wall. I will definitely be using Redgard for all future shower projects. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Coverage listed is incorrect The bucket lists the coverage at 120-140 sq ft. Not even close to 385. May 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Should be a must for building codes I specialize in bathroom remodels, and this product should be required anytime a shower is being built. I've been using it for over 6 years. it is easily applied and dries fairly quickly depending upon atmosphere conditions. I will not do a job without redgarding the entire shower. It works great for a crack suppressant also. do yourself a huge favor, bite the bullet and spend the money, its worth every penny to know you shower won't leak March 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saved a tile job gone bad. I had never heard of this product, but learned about it in order to salvage a bad shower tile installation job that was stopped before it got worse. It goes on easily and creates a totally water proof barrier behind your tile. No more finding out two years from now that the installer screwed up and now you have major problems because of leaks in your shower. The only thing I would add to their instructions is to ignore using a trowel. The stuff is too thin. Just use a big paint brush and slosh it on in the corners and over the mesh tape along the seams. Then use a roller to do the flat surfaces. July 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Protection against water damage Easy to apply, it gives us a sense of security that if we have a leak from a bathroom fixture the membrane will keep it from damaging our floor and finished lower level. March 8, 2016
