You really shouldn't... The product has been manufactured to the right specifications and should be of the proper consistency to adhere.
With that being said ...I have but don't recommend it.

Answer:
I'm sure you can but I wouldn't mess with science. Cheaper to buy powder and make it as runny as you want. Careful, though, that you don't get it so thin that it flows or wipes out of joints. If you left the can open so long that it thickened, the cements may have begun to set and usually water won't make it better, just wetter.

We are planning on using this grout (in one of the grey colours) in our kitchen with TrafficMaster vinyl luxury tiles, and are curious if the grout will crack and crumble if there is any flex in the floor as we live in an older house with lots of creaks and squeaks. Please advise.

Thanks!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Useless! You might as well be tiling with marshmallow cream! About the only positive thing I have to say about this product is that it comes pre mixed. If you think you will save time and mess by using this obnoxious goo, think again. The consistency of this stuff is similar that of marshmallow cream and equally as difficult to use if you can imagine it. My trawl float did not glide over this like it should have and left a thick, gloppy mess of grout in its wake that had to later be chiseled off my tile with a spackle knife. A job that should have taken a couple of hours turned into an all day, epically laborious event. For someone attempting her first tiling job, I'm happy to say the project is not a total disaster. It's pretty rough in areas (photo attached for reference) and some touch up work will be needed but at least I know enough now to use the right product for my kitchen job. Save yourself some time and headache and go with the grout you mix yourself. On another note, if you are having trouble getting grout haze off your tile and don't want to use a potentially damaging acid, try some grade 0000 (very fine) steel wool. It will get rid of the grout haze and polish your tile without scratching. August 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible product - ruined my tiles Terrible. This was my first attempt at tiling and this product ruined my project. All of the tiles are stained with the "haze" or "ghosting" and I have not been able to clean them. We have tried an acid cleaner that has not made a difference. I would never recommend this to someone and am so upset that this first tiling attempt was ruined by a bad product. I will remember to read reviews next time as many people had the same experience. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use This product was a piece of cake to apply to our glass mosaic tile backsplash. Dried quickly, looks great! April 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BRIGHT WHITE 1 GAL. PREMIXED GROUT I decided to tile a back-splash (first time tiling) so this was my first time using grout and over all I am pretty satisfied with the outcome. I used this over a ceramic mosaic 2 inch tiles for about a total of 20 square feet.. The color of the grout is more off white (not bright white) which in my case worked out well. Initially I had trouble getting enough grout to stay in between the tiles which was due to my inexperience but I did get much better as I went along. I found that after about 15-20 minutes of applying the grout then I wiped everything down with a lightly damp sponge. I even 'pat' dried the tile afterwards because no matter how much I tried to ring out the water from the sponge I was still leaving too much water on the tiles and the area I just applied grout to. There is allot of sand in the mixture. I would use this again though I have nothing to compare it to since this was my first time using grout. March 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for any serious DIY For those who have used the standard you mix it grout this grout has a much shorter working time . I used the white and found it to be white . You work only 3/4 square feet at a time then immediately begin cleaning with paper towels ( you will need a lot ) and sponge with bucket of water . change the water every two or three times to make cleaning easier . That said it cleans up easily if you don't delay , start cleaning as soon as you stop grouting ( note : work small areas at a time ) I had no real trouble cleaning with just water and sponge and wiping dry with paper towels . This stuff sticks to your skin , clothes , will not wash out of clothes when dry and it drys fast so use old don't care about clothes . Cover what ever you don't want it to stick to , take the time to mask your tub lay cardboard on floor it may take 18 hours to cure but only 20 - 30 minutes to dry . I used this product on bath surround wall above the tub surround with mosaic glass 3/4" tiles . Its rapid set meant I had no sagging at all . I am disabled amateur DIY and was able to do the job myself . Note I used Simplemat to hold tile on wall while grouting . It looks great . December 9, 2015
