Rated 4 out of 5 by A little difficult to use I have used the premix grout before with good success. I always have difficulty getting the best mix when creating my own, so prefer the time and aggravation saved using a premix. However this grout seemed to be a little dryer than normal and was difficult to use on the wall tiles I had placed. Maybe it is because I had not tried it with walls before, but it was not easily going into the spaces and much was caught in the bathtub vs. on the wall. I was able to improve my success by adding a little water with my hands and using my hands instead of my tool for spreading. Not the cleanest job, but it looks ok. Plus, since this is for water areas I can attest it may be several more days before it will completely come off my hands! July 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by WORKED GREAT BUT HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT TIPS ABOUT ACRYLIC GROUT!!! Here are some important tips. I just used this product on my bathroom floor with Luxury vinyl tiles. I highly recommend. It came out GREAT!! I used this grout in Sandstone. (white seems like it will not be white according to reviews) my color was perfect. Ok tips: 1. just apply what you need - i used small putty knife and wet the cracks first slightly (do not use too much water!! very important!!) do not use too much or you will have a hard time removing - YES it acrylic people so it dries hard and will stick to almost anything!! 2. do not wait more than a few minutes to start sponging and again DO NOT use too much water!! squeeze sponge out and change water frequently and only do a small area at a time no more than a few feet. doing too big an area will cause you issues i guarantee it!!! it dries fast! 3. once you get the lines to where you need them ...invest in a lot of paper towels and clean the area right away to remove haze. Again small are at a time and use a damp paper was easy!!! and it came out absolutely gorgeous!!! 4. keep your putty knife clean!!! it will stick to the knife and you will not get it off unless you use water and paper towels to keep it clean. Also keep the container lid on when not is use.even if it is just laying on it lightly and not pressed will last longer that way. If you do what i say it works perfect. everyone else here hated it cause they did too large an area to save time..or used too much water or waited too long to sponge.....I applied a small area 3 sq ft at most...and sponged RIGHT AWAY!!!!! also do not PRESS hard on the sponge...just want to sponge over lightly!! you can fix mistakes and it was super will take longer to do it this way but well worth it!!! THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO DO IT!!! I have worked with this many times!!!! February 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Product was dry ????? The product was supposed to be easy to use but was totally dry and hard to apply. If I wasn't 90 miles away from a Home Depot and had to get the job done I would have chosen another product. July 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disappointing Used this grout to save some time and ended up wasting the whole morning and then some cleaning up later. Good thing I decided to not be lazy and bail and remove all the product from the joints. First of all, the product is not bright white. It is a light grey. Second of all, it's not smooth, it appears like a sanded grout. And third, it left a layer of paint like substance on my tiles that is very hard to clean. So happy I decided to remove it and went with the grout that you have to mix. One, it's easier to apply to the wall. Two, it's easier to clean up. Three, it's texture is very smooth. And four, it's extremely bright white! Don't take a short cut here by getting this product. Your end result will be much much better. January 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by paint your grout I thought that I would save a bit of time mixing since I had a small area to fill (about 20 tiles). Imagine my surprise when I opened the bucket. Looked like paint pooled on the top. Touched it and yes it felt and behaved just like paint. I decided to mix thoroughly to avoid any problems. Good idea but it didn't make any difference. Began to apply grout and noticed that it was taking a long time to get firm. Decided to start the sponge process and realized that it just smeared the paint. Kept rinsing and wringing out the sponge to no avail. It just kept smearing. Deciced to let is set a bit longer and try again. Now the paint was beginning to stick to the tiles. Cleaned up best I could and then waited until the next day. Next day I had to use laquer thinner to clean tiles. Entire job took about 8 hours instead of 2. If I had wanted to paint the grout, I would have purchased a bag of powdered grout and a can of paint. STAY AWAY from this product October 13, 2013
