Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 48 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It worked...with work. The product did the job (THAKNFULLY). It requires a significant amount of elbow grease. The label suggested 8 oz to 1 gallon of water. WELL, I gradually increased the amount to ultimately require the entire jug in 1 gallon of water. With lots of scrubbing, and leaving the product on for 30 minutes, I got the results I wanted. Note to DIY-ers, seal the natural stone before grouting. I should have re-read the grout container a few more times... WHOOPS January 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job Did a nice job of removing excess grout and this set. It still takes a little hand scrubbing, I used non abrasive pad. You will alos need gloves, its strong stuff. Gives off a sulfur smell, so ventilate. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome stuff We had laid tile in 2 bathrooms and grouted them. The grout was a medium gray color. When it dried it had a white film on it we tried everything. I finally called Mapei the grout maker and asked what to do. They suggested the Sulffmic Acid Crystals and a stiff bristled nylon brush. So off to Home Depot I went. I used one 6oz. tub with one gallon of hot, hot water. I scrubbed each grout seam with this stuff and wiped it back down with plain water. My tile now looks great. June 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did nothing for grout efflorescence Tried this after my CBP Bone grout dried white. Maybe it was too much water, maybe it was a little too uniformly white to buy that. CBP suggested I try this. Mixed in the amounts specified on the container, scrubbed vigorously as suggested....and sorry, it didn't do a darn thing. Not happy about it. But at least the white isn't as ridiculous from bone color as it would be from a dark color. Very disappointed in CBP grout though and this product did nothing but cost me more money for an inferior look. May 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, but experiment with it This product does what it says it will do, but I wasn't prepared for it to stain the grout between the tiles, even though I used grout sealer. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great with Polyblend Grout Renew Used Sulfamic Acid Cleaner as specified with warm water - 8 oz. mix for light mineral deposits. It wasn't a fun process, but it removed built up grime and allowed for great coverage with Polyblend Grout Renew. Thrilled with the results. March 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It works on whitened grout, BUT... This works to remove the whitish substance left on dark grout when you use too much water. HOWEVER, it WILL NOT work if mixed in the proportions suggested on the container. I first mixed with water per the instructions, scrubbed the solution into the grout with a toothbrush then wiped with a wet rag. The result was a slightly better appearance, but not by much. I then dumped most of the remaining product into the solution, brushed the solution directly on the dry grout and let it stand for about 5 minutes or so before wiping with a wet rag. Guess what - it worked! A few places needed a second treatment, but for the most part it looked great. December 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product! Great for cleanning the shadow that leaves the grout on the tile!! Works great just follow the instructions given directly by the company in the Q y A section. 1gal of warm water for 8-12 grams of the product. Apply with a regular nylon brush in circles and then rinse with water!! You will get great results!! March 16, 2016
