My landlord purchased this home and the tile floors in the kitchen were very dark and dingy looking with grout that was literally black. Both she and I had tried scrubbing and washing the floor with several different kinds of products to no avail, so we assumed the tiles must normally be that color and that the grout was just permanently stained.
I happened to find this at the store and got it intending to use in in the bathroom on the leftover grout haze, but decided to follow the instructions on the back for heavy duty cleaning (1:5 product to water ratio). I was AMAZED.
I used a scrub brush, went over the tile and grout in a small area, let it set for a few minutes, scrubbed at it some more, and rinsed with clean water. The tiles are actually beige and tan, with tan grout! Unbelievable. You really do have to scrub, but I worked for over an hour with a regular tile/grout cleaner on one small spot and didn't make nearly as much progress on it as I did with one application of this. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Applying this stripper has taken several applications, scrubbin g, and scraping to remove the sealer, which i am supposed to do before applying new sealer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rollo Worked better than I expected
I had a project that I started a few years ago and never finished until recently. (who has not had one or two of these over the years? hahaha) Needless to say when I got around to finishing it the tile and grout that was in place was very dirty. I mixed this heavy duty cleaner with Nano Scrub and I applyed it to the floor and scrubbed with tile and grout brushes and cleaned up with water. I did this twice. I did not have high expectations when I started the cleaning but the two Custom products together and a little elbow grease and they performed better than I had expected. I am pleased with the end result.

I have porcelain tile in my Kitchen that I put Tile Lab Gloss coat on in 2010. Over the years it faded and peeled away leaving a bloctchy worn look. My grout also looked dull, dark, and worn. I used this product 7:1, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, attached a scotch gaurd scrubber to my orbital sander and WAh-LAH! Took some elbow power, but I was very satisfied. Gonna re-apply the gloss in a day or two as per the instructions.

Excellent product. I used it with a flexible metal scraper to remove a s ton of grout. I will never grout again. This product saved me from buying all new tile.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Joe143 Will not remove residue caused by Tilelab sealer
I make the mistake of using Tilelab sealer, and the overspray on the tiles could not be removed, even by a professional floor company. I purchased this product originally hoping to avoid hiring the pros, but even with a rented floor buffer, this stripper would not touch it.
So 2 strikes against Tilelab products, they leave a residue and they cannot be removed with their own products.

Have had problems getting prior coats of sealer off of tile.
This product did the trick and was fast drying so that a new coat of sealer could be applied.

I bought this to strip the sealer off my slate tiles and it worked as a mild cleaner, even full strength, but that's all. Most of what came off was from scrubbing, I'm sure. I would not waste my money on this product if you really need it to do what it claims.
