Answer:
Matte finish. It should look exactly the same after application as it does beforehand. Time the application. Put it on a 4X4 area for about 5 minutes then wipe using as many towels as it takes to remove the haze. Then do the next section. If it has dried then wet with more product and wipe away all haze.

Answer:
It works great for bath and shower. It's a water based sealer which will help your grout and tile "breathe", allowing any moisture to evaporate out. Give the treated surfaces plenty of time to cure before soaking. 48 hours works for me.

Answer:
You can use a little baking soda mixed with water to a paste like consistency and scrub the granite using a non abrasive nylon scrubbing pad or you can use Nano Scrub by Aqua Mix. Acetone will not work. For further information please contact our technical service department at 800 272-8786 option 3.

It completely ruined our grout! We used a sable brown grout and the sealer gave it a white haze. The baking soda trick described in another post did absolutely nothing to help alleviate this. Instead of brown grout that blends with our porcelain wood plank tiles, we now have a white hazy grid that stands out and is such an eye sore!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on Marble, Granite, Travertine All sealers are expensive--some cost even more than this but after all the time and cost of putting in Marble, Granite, and Travertine floors, I wanted something that would protect them. This Works! Travertine soaks it up so you have to use ALOT. Polished marble and granite will not need much sealer so it is mostly to seal the grout. You must use many polishing rags to remove the haze before it dries. I used it on 1 marble shower and when the marble/grout is wet, it looks exactly the same as it does dry. If you like the look of your stone/grout before sealing, this will not change the appearance. In other words, it is NOT an enhancer. My contractor used another brand on the second marble shower. The shower he sealed has streaks down the marble and the grout changes color when wet which indicates that it is not sealed. I am going to use a buffer on the second shower then seal it again using this.

I wasn't thinking clearly when I bought and drove home with this $100 gallon jug of sealer. I was in a rush to seal the grout on a newly installed tile floor. After the cashier rang up the purchase, I turned to a Home Depot associate and asked him to remove the security seal. His response was to say that was for the consumer to do. The first indication of problems was leaking of the solution out of the cap and security seal in the trunk of my car when I arrived home. I removed the security seal, unscrewed the child proof cap and found that the tamper evident foil seal had been opened in a star pattern. In retrospect, I should have opened the jug as soon as I had purchased it. When applying, the odor seemed to be chlorine bleach heavy. Stupid me in a rush, I applied it anyway and the grout color varies from the tobacco color it should be to a very pale tan. I was pooched by my own haste. My theory is that someone purchased the product, cleverly defeated the security seal, used a portion and back-filled it with a solution, possibly household bleach and returned it to get their $100 back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product Hazes on Granite and Tiles The Home Depot Associate recommended this product for sealing granite. I have followed the instructions and used lambswool applicator. The product hazed the granite and also the tiles. My tiles are lighter and hence the haze is not visible. But on the granite (salt & pepper colors) hazing is visible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible customer support from Custom Building Products Custom Building Products has horrible customer support. Custom refused to honor their "satisfaction guarantee" warranty on the back of the package when their natural stone sealer didn't seal and allowed water to penetrate. The Custom Building Products service manager explained that any issues must be due to improper application (such as customer's failure to reapply every few months) and it's their prerogative whether to honor the warranty. We bought all Custom Building Products materials (including mortar, grout, and sealer) from Home Depot, so we were heavily invested in Custom Building Products materials, but they still treated us poorly. We now wish Home Depot would drop the Custom Building Products line and go with a reputable manufacturer. In our case, we had to re-seal our natural stone tiles & grout with Miracle Sealants brand sealer, which actually worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective, and easy to use. I've used this sealer on both matte, and glossy tiles. Simply wipe it on, let it sit a few minutes, and wipe off the excess. I'll usually do a second application the following day to ensure complete coverage. This is great for floors, and much better than products which must be carefully applied only to the grout itself.
