If you want a fragrant candle to use, buy this. If you want to use it to repel bugs, look for something else. According to the SDS, the citronella oil weight in this candle is only 1%. Many mosquito repelling candles have 3% citronella oil and even some people complain that they don't even work.

Actually used the candle indoors as we were in and out and had the door open; the candle had a nice pleasing scent. Even the jar is cute.

Minimal effect; until I added several drops of 100% Citronella oil periodically to the candle.

I have to agree with others that it smells better than your average citronella candle. I would say it's on the smaller side, too, which is good and/or bad depending on how you use this. However, the candle scent is so faint that it does not do what it's intended to do--repel bugs. I got eaten alive. So, obviously can't recommend.

I love lavender so this was an easy choice for me. Even before burning, the scent was wonderful. The mosquitoes in MI were especially bad this year but adding Cutter products to our yard really helped.
