This is an amazing product but not quite well executed. Firstly I am satisfied with it bcoz it gets the job done. Watch the Youtube Videos of this product and you will know what to expect.
An entire side of My room faces the west and gets a good 8hrs of direct sunlight a day. On the outside you can barely keep your bare hands on the bricks as they have heated up so much. This makes the room really hot even though its insulated. Air from the vents dont pack a punch to cool the room enough as the room is upstairs. This product has dropped the temp of our room by at least 2C. probably a bit more at night. But I keep it running the entire day plus have a stand fan to circulate the AC. This booster blows air at around a 30degree angle from the floor. So dont expect to feel any boosted air directly above it and do not leave any furniture in front of it. Also the product images show a booster switch under the thermostat but mine did not have such a switch. Wish it did.

These units can barely suck up or blow off a paper towel 10.5" x 7", so it did not work for me at all.
IN fact the unit blocked more air than it pulled and pushed.
the inline duct booster fans worked great but not as simple as a cyclone to install.
DON''T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM

The brown color matches other registers in the room and it was easy to install. It has a smaller inside footprint than another manufacturer's booster fan and seems to fit better in the register. It takes time to set the thermostat as you have to remove the unit to adjust it. It appears to cool the room about 2-3 degrees. I have another booster fan on the other side of the room and they do not come on at the same time and this booster fan is a bit louder, although the noise does not affect sleeping. It does not have an indicator light which is a plus. I would recommend trying this booster fan as it is an economical alternative to installing a duct fan.

Bought this unit last winter intent to heat my baby daughter's room up since her room was always colder than others. Used a couple of nights and returned it. The fan was really loud... to the level woke me up and I was amlost sleepless for those nights. I woudn't recommend to anyone witihout hearing problem if you want it in your bed room, you may use it in room no one sleeping though.
I'm engineering background. By looking at the design, it's easy to undertand why it's so loud. The motor and controller blocks more than half area where the air otherwise can flow through. The fan has to run at very high speed to compensate the loss. I wish they can come out a smarter design.

I purchased this product, brought it home, installed it. The first one I bought, started to rattle moments after the fan started up. I brought it back as I could see the fan woobled and was hitting the frame. I tested one other one, it wouldn't come on, second one from the shelf did work and is very quiet.
The amount of air pushed, well, I'd would like it to be a bit stronger but it did improve the flow of air coming out of the register.
If you are thinking of purchaseing this product, check it before you leave the store. The store clerks were very helpfull in getting one that worked.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SallyWaterloo Great item for Waterloo winters
Bought this for my room in my house, it's a very old house and the heating system has not been renovated. My room is in the basement so it is very cold in the winters. This was very easy to use and worry-free and it does not disturb me at all when I sleep.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by snjmom23 Great low cost solution for our home
I purchased two of these fans for my kids rooms that were always considerably hotter/cooler than the rest of the house due to poor ductwork routing. I could not afford to have the system re-run so I tried these fans to help regulate those rooms. They worked wonderfully from day one. The rooms are noticeably cooler with the AC on than before, we were even able to remove the fan from the hallway that directed air into the kids rooms. Cant' wait to see how much they help with the heat in the winter too. They are quiet and easy to install.

When I bought this product I was a bit skeptical since I’ve tried almost every other option out there, from taping up my windows, thicker blinds to insulate the room , using portable heaters which sky rocketed my electricity bill and of course thicker duvets, EVERYTHING!! But with each idea came with a big drawback. I was about to face the fact that I either have to reinsulated the room and the garage below it or sell the house, when I came across this product. I bought it and have been impressed ever since. This really works!!! I couldn’t believe it. I can walk into my bedroom and not feel the outdoor winter crisp when I enter. I no longer have to run into the room to turn on my portable heater an hour ahead of going to sleep. Don’t get me wrong the room is not hot like what a heater does but it makes it comfortable and livable. This is definitely one of my top ten best buys to date.
