Product Overview

Is there a room in your house that is usually cooler or hotter than the others. That's bad airflow. Even the best homes have it. Airflow in central air homes weakens the further it travels through the ducts. Cyclone's Booster Fan Plus helps solves that problem. The Cyclone Booster Fan Plus boosts the idle air from vents outward into the rooms where it is needed most, making every room in your home equally COMFORTABLE. The innovative design features a built-in thermostat that senses heated or cooled air and turns the fan on and off automatically, lowering your heating and cooling costs. That too-hot or too- cold room proves it's happening to you. The Cyclone Booster Fan Plus helps SAVE ENERGY and MONEY. Just set it and forget it.

  • Fits in both a 3 in. x 10 in. and 4 in. x 10 in. duct
  • Works for all seasons
  • Fan blades are angled at 45° pushes the air into the center of the room

Customer Reviews

Cyclone Booster Fan Plus with Built-In Thermostat in Brown is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Idea, Poor Execution Buyer beware!! This is a great idea for air registers that have low air flow. Ideal for those 2nd floor rooms that are too hot in summer or too cold in winter. However, make sure it works and works quietly before leaving the store. As other reviewers have noted quality control is poor and products frequently don't work or are noisy right out of the box - happened to me twice. Then only count on it working for the length of the warranty or a little longer at best. I have purchased 6 in total over the past 2.5 years and only one has lasted more than 18 months. The manufacturer will honour the warranty (if you have the original receipt) but you have to box it up and Courier or mail it at a cost of $18 in postage alone and wait for weeks for a new one or you can drive it all the way to Scarborough for an exchange. Two major design problems, firstly the motor bearings wear out quickly and it becomes noisy and then eventually seizes up - I had two do that. Secondly the thermostat eventually quits and the unit will either not run at all or will not turn off at all - two of mine did that. So if you are prepared to replace the unit every 12-18 months or so go ahead and get it as it does as it claims very well. Personally I am going to have a furnace service company come in and install two in line boosters in the furnace duct work as it is a much better long term solution and cheaper in the long run.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More marketing than effective These units can barely suck up or blow off a paper towel 10.5" x 7", so it did not work for me at all. IN fact the unit blocked more air than it pulled and pushed. the inline duct booster fans worked great but not as simple as a cyclone to install. DON''T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item for Waterloo winters Bought this for my room in my house, it's a very old house and the heating system has not been renovated. My room is in the basement so it is very cold in the winters. This was very easy to use and worry-free and it does not disturb me at all when I sleep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does what it claims. But watch the videos first This is an amazing product but not quite well executed. Firstly I am satisfied with it bcoz it gets the job done. Watch the Youtube Videos of this product and you will know what to expect. An entire side of My room faces the west and gets a good 8hrs of direct sunlight a day. On the outside you can barely keep your bare hands on the bricks as they have heated up so much. This makes the room really hot even though its insulated. Air from the vents dont pack a punch to cool the room enough as the room is upstairs. This product has dropped the temp of our room by at least 2C. probably a bit more at night. But I keep it running the entire day plus have a stand fan to circulate the AC. This booster blows air at around a 30degree angle from the floor. So dont expect to feel any boosted air directly above it and do not leave any furniture in front of it. Also the product images show a booster switch under the thermostat but mine did not have such a switch. Wish it did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing works - just VERY poor quality The Cyclone Booster Fan does increase airflow, however, it has several problems: 1. Thermisistor is located on the bottom side of the fan, making it difficult to change. 2. The parts are of poor quality. 3. It is noisy (seems like a common defect issue?). 4. The gears/motors wear out quality, causing the fan to seize up, I'm on my third unit :( This thing is not cheap either, it's too bad the company can't make a better quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low cost solution for our home I purchased two of these fans for my kids rooms that were always considerably hotter/cooler than the rest of the house due to poor ductwork routing. I could not afford to have the system re-run so I tried these fans to help regulate those rooms. They worked wonderfully from day one. The rooms are noticeably cooler with the AC on than before, we were even able to remove the fan from the hallway that directed air into the kids rooms. Cant' wait to see how much they help with the heat in the winter too. They are quiet and easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely happy I bought my first Cyclone booster fan last winter and LOVED it. I was very impressed by how much of a difference it made in my sons room that I bought two more since. I also used them all summer long in the bedrooms on my second and third floor. They definitely make the rooms more bearable during the hot summer and freezing winter months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Loud Bought this unit last winter intent to heat my baby daughter's room up since her room was always colder than others. Used a couple of nights and returned it. The fan was really loud... to the level woke me up and I was amlost sleepless for those nights. I woudn't recommend to anyone witihout hearing problem if you want it in your bed room, you may use it in room no one sleeping though. I'm engineering background. By looking at the design, it's easy to undertand why it's so loud. The motor and controller blocks more than half area where the air otherwise can flow through. The fan has to run at very high speed to compensate the loss. I wish they can come out a smarter design.
