The D-Link DCS-932L is a great little surveillance web-cam.
It's best features are that (1) it's a self-contained wireless webcam and (2) that it works even in total darkness.
The average person trying to set it up for the first time will be frustrated by the slow-ness of the Wizard that D-Link supplies for configuring the camera, but the expert person will skip the whole Wizard thing and go straight to the embedded web-server, where the setup of the camera is not much different than your average D-Link router, so it's easy enough to figure out if you've got any experience setting up other D-Link products.
To access the camera remotely (away from your house) your choices are using D-Link's MyDlink service, or setting up your router with a DDNS service and then opening a port on your router to reach the webcam.
The DLink MyDlink service is easy enough to use once you set it up, but to add the camera to the MyDLink service you've got to run DLink's awful Wizard: adding the camera to MyDLink is the last step of the Wizard, and it makes you do all the other steps even if all you want to do is add the camera to MyDLink, and there's no way to add the camera to the service without running the Wizard.
Once setup, the picture quality out of the camera is OK, not great. You can expect about 15 frames a second best case, and the frames can get a little fuzzy depending on the signal strenght of the wifi signal. With the 932L model, you'll get a clear enough picture even in total darkness thanks to the infrared mode. There is a related model, the 930L, which is a daytime only model. Avoid the 930L if you actually want to see something at night because it just turns black, get the 932L instead, it's really worth the extra cost.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LongtimeDLinkUser Works better than more expensive security cams
Works well, has good color, with contrast/brightness control even works well at night without using infrared.
The only disappointments for me are the focus is fixed and is not as clear as my older DCS-900, also the field of vision seems to be less than my DCS-900 was.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tcas This product is easy to use
I love being able to click on the app and be able to see what is going on in the building.
The only downfall has been that I can't seem to get the motion activation email alert function to work. I indicates that it will, but has never sent me a notification.
I wish the install did not involve a disk, because many laptops do not have a disk drive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FreeAgent Good at what it was designed to do
I noticed while reading the reviews of the number of 'older' people who were not able to get the camera to work. I am an IT tech 60 years of age. I have had my two cameras for about 3 years and brought them because I live alone and travel often for business. I have never had any issues with the cameras working. I suggest that for many of you, you need to take advantage of the Geek Squad or your younger associates whether family members or otherwise who may have a better understanding of the technology. Port forwarding, opening ports on routers and things of that nature may be your issue as well as a lack of patience.
There are other cameras designed for other uses and more complicated uses. This camera sits in a static position and monitors a particular area. You want to move the camera, get a camera that moves. You want better sound and video, you have to pay more. This is why I say this camera is good at what it was designed for. It is an entry level camera sold at a modest price. There is video software available for it but from what I have read, most of the older users would be even more confused at how to get it to work. Hire an IT tech to set it up and then leave the settings alone.

I love this product.. I just don't like that I can't continue to watch the video longer than 5 minutes. IS there another app that allows that?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MikeSmith One worked one does not. No warranty
I bought two of these. One works, one does not, unless it is hooked up directly to my router. Also, every time there is a new update on Java, the camera quits working until you update, by jumping through all the hoops Java makes you jump through. Too bad there is not an easy way to upgrade. I do not recommend these cameras.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ChrisA Firmware issue
When updating the firmware the camera might stop updating. If this happens and it looks like it happens a lot your camera is no longer able to work. There is no solution to date and Dlink has not offered an acceptable response to the problem. I would stay away from this line of cameras.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Prosumer Easily confused with DCS-1100
Dlink people , why have you named this product Cloud Camera 1100 while having another cam named DCS-1100 ??? Very confusing. Before I’ve figured that the right model is DCS-932L I could not setup, I could not upgrade firmware etc.
