I am going to run a new 3/4" waterline between 2 buildings. I cannot go below freeze line, because I am at the ocean and the water table is higher. I am going to run the line inside a 2" CPVC pipe. I want to wrap it with a heat tape. Is this a good wrap tape to use holding the heat tape in place?

Thank you for your inquiry. Although this is an all-weather tape, suitable for typical outdoor exposure, we have not tested it in circumstances such as yours, and cannot warrant its suitability for use in your application.

I'm rerouting a 3/4" water line made of copper tubing, PEX pipe with Sharkbite and copper fittings. Sharkbite says I need to use a "non-chloride wrap. Is this tape non-chloride? If not, do you carry a non-chloride wrap for use underground?

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. This tape is intended to be used on pipes, and not subjected to movement or pressure again once installed. If may last briefly in the application you are inquiring about, but in the long run, is not the best solution.

I see listed on the web page that there is a 0 R value indicated with this pipe wrap tape. Is it really 0, or is there a higher value? I'm interested in using this product to insulate piping under a mobile/manufactured home in combination with insulation and sheeting.
