I am not sure what all of the bad reviews are about. I used this product and it worked just fine for me. Leaky drain? Pick yourself up one of the little kits and some plumbers putty and its an easy fix. This nut and washer as been on my kitchen sink for over a year now. No leaks at all.

Truly I did not even use the product since there were such bad reviews here and on the internet, I decided to scrape the project and put a new drain in since this product was not recommended, certainly don't want water leaking anywhere

Had the same problem as mentioned above, nut would only screw on about 3-4 turns.
12TPI or 14TPI? Who would know, since the size is not listed on the package.
Waste of time, gas and money. Who wants to stand in line behind about 10 people at home depot to get a refund or exchange of $4

bought this product thinking it would be an easy fix. typically this is an easy fix. however the threads on the nut did not match the thread on my glacier bay sink drain assembly. the nut was about 1/32" or less too small and would not go past the first 2 threads. may be a manufacturing defect. but i bought 2 of them since they were really cheep. and both had the same problem may work with other sink drain assemblies. recommended that you bring the drain assembly with you and test in store before you leave. time is money and time wasted for a universal part that are suppose to be a quick fix should be universal. cheep part just cost me 3 times as much in gas to go back to store and buy a new complete assembly so i don't have to make a 3rd trip. if you are looking to kill time going back to store 3 times then this is the right part for you.
