I have been doing plumbing repairs for 20+ years. Never use brass plated galvanized steel bolts for INSIDE the toilet tank. They will rust up like you would not believe. I have included a picture below if you can see it. There is great risk of water damage from slow unnoticed leaks. Use brass only! The only downside with brass, its a bit softer than the steel bolts so you can't turn it like an idiot which you should not do anyway when you are dealing with porcelain. :-)

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Technical Rusting after 6 months
These bolts started rusting inside the tank in less than 6 months, and are now corroded significantly with rust in less than a year. I put them in 4 toilets and they're all the same.
The rust started on all the bolts at the edge of the bolt head inside the tank, so apparently the brass plating is either missing or too thin.
I will now need to replace them all again, this time with either solid brass or stainless steel.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by fmparker1 did not fit
There was only 1 set of toilet tank bolts to buy, so I did not have a choice. The bolt was fine, but the nut did not fit. This was due to the fact that the wing on the nut could not be turned under the bowl because of how the bowl is made. You should supply more than one option of bolts. Luckliy the old nut, without the wing piece, fit on the new screws that I just bought.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff Smaller than OEM
Bolt heads and washers smaller than OEM bolts on toilet. They are currently holding water, but it appears they will not last as long as the original as the sealing surface is much smaller.

horrible qualtiy - rusted within a day of installation. I had to remove and install a genuine brass (not brass plated like the Home Depot piece of junk). I will never buy plumbing hardware products from HD again. Cost me at least 1/2 hour addtional time to remove rusted bolts and replace with qualtiy bolts purchased at Warren Pipe.
