My pop up sink drain failed to pop up to drain the water from the sink. After taking the pieces apart, (and knowing nothing about plumbing) and getting a look at what was broken, I found this product online at homedepot.com. The fix seemed easy enough, and fairly self explanitory.
The website says that the rod and ball does not come with a clip or nut, but they did. The nut did not fit my drain, but the new rod and ball were compatible with the old nut. I had my sink drain fixed in moments of returning home.
I am completely satisfied with this product. It was easy to find online, easy to install, and the employee at the store was knowledgeable, and found it for me quickly.

Product works, i had to mix parts from the old screw on because i couldn't find the exact match. Everything worked out, just don't get rid of your old parts before you get this one put on.

Overall this part is well crafted and pretty easy to install but before you completely throw away your old assembly make sure the plastic nut fits your old assembly. If not just remove the old nut from the old assembly. I have Moen faucets and the plastic nut that came with it was far to small to fit the screw so I just reused the nut from the old one

As a woman with no experience and thinking I had to replace the hold sink and not just that one thing, but I went online to home Depot and found what I needed watch a Diy video and was able to install. The product works good and I haven't had any more problems opening and closing the sink drain

Easy to install. Not strongest materials made and can be bent fairly easily but suffices for normal wear and use.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Huba Good idea; but not sturdy.
This item replaces the pop-up rod and ball, which usually breaks due to corrosion of the rod next to the ball. Three different ball sizes are supplied with the intent that one would fit most applications. The ball and the end in the downspout is plastic and is not durable. Installation is not simple. The plastic part came loose and reinstallation was needed. I doubt that this repair will last and would have preferred a sturdier plastic ball and rod. The claim that this is "constructed of metal" is incorrect.

As another reviewed mentioned, hold on to your old parts until you install and test this. In my case, the nut in this kit that attaches the ball rod assembly did not quite fit and allowed water to drip out when I tested it. All the parts look identical to what was removed, but this nut didn't fit. Plumbers tape on the connection didn't help. I finally disassembled it and used the old nut and it worked fine. They also cheaped out when making this nut by not putting larger nubs on it that would make it easier to screw on and off.

I saw the review of the universal kit that includes 3 size balls with plastic tips that break and wanted to avoid that. I thought I had a Price Pfister but couldn't remember and purchased this one anyway since it looked like the ball was the right size. I tried it and it worked perfectly. After installation I saw that I actually had a Moen faucet! I used the existing nut, and as another reader pointed out, it includes the nut and clip (as in the picture) even though not listed in the specs.
