The spout has a very small rate of flow, when filling the tub, the water backup and water drips out of the shower head. The spout is very large but flow is small.

I thought I was the only one to have these problems of leaking out the back, decided to buy a second one after installing and uninstalling the first one 5 times to find out why it was dribbling out the back. The second one did same thing- thought I was going to lose my mind- glad to see others had the exact same problem- if there is a trick to this, the manufacturer isn't sharing it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mg12 Good potential, but.....
I purchased this spout because I needed a longer spout to get over the edge of my tub. The spout itself seems to be decent, but the screw in connector is made of plastic and did not take much to break. So, unfortunately I cannot give it a good review.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MadHomeOwner Looks good, but has install issues and leaks
I bought this spout since it had a decent shower diverter. I went to install this onto a 3 inch long copper pipe as the instructions state to do, but the internal slip-on plastic snout will not install over the copper pipe. It starts off snug, and will not budge past 1-1/2" in past the tip of the pipe. I tried installing a new copper pipe into it as a test and it still won't go in. So, I decided to remove the slip-on snout from my older Danco spout and see if it would work with this new spout. My older Danco spout slipped right onto my existing copper pipe, but this newer spout refused to. After getting the new spout fitted to the older slip-on internal snout, I tried to use the shower diverter and it didn't leak externally, but now it leaks internally and comes out the back of the spout at the wall. After spending hours playing around with this spout, I can say this product is pure junk and not worth buying what so ever. The internal threaded fitting is plastic, which is most likely the leak or will leak as this unit gets older, but for me it leaked right from the start. Stay away from this spout and find a quality spout elsewhere.

This was the perfect spout replacement if you need a longer than usual (8" rather than 5") for Roman Tub spout replacement for wall mount with shower diverter. This until is supposed to be universal fit, but my application had a 4 1/4" long 1/2" NPT pipe it would screw right on as a direct replacement with no modifications.
I was very disappointed to find that the spout leaked from the inside and would have flooded the wall behind the tub. Yes, it was screwed in completely with teflon tape. After attempting several times to get it to seal, I finally rigged up a pipe that extended the spout far out so I could see from behind while under shower pressure. The unit has a plastic female connecter on the inside and the leak was further in beyond where the the pipe screws in. I could not see if the plastic was cracked, mis-assembled or damaged but it was definitely defective out-of-the-box. Of course it will only leak while the diverter is on in the shower position.
Going to try to exchange it and hope to get one from a different batch.
Very sad, since this is a decent price, and looks nice and it metal (unlike Delta which is all plastic) expect for the most critical working part.
If I can get another one to work I will see if I can update this review.
