Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Check your brass stem size first This Danco Moen stem puller might not work on your shower cartridge, as it might not reach the base for you to try and twist your stem loose for removal. It should work on faucet stems. Made of aluminum, it might be too weak for tough jobs. Buy the real Moen puller from Depot sku# 135222 for stuck stems like mine. October 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by saved my day I had a moen posi temp cartridge so jammed up i thought i was going to rip the tiles outta the wall pulling on it with every tool i had. I bought this tool for 12 bucks and after watching a 2 minute youtube video I got the cartridge out. No more leaks. The quality doesn't seem great for everyday use on the field but for a DIY leak fix the 12 bucks and 15-40 dollar new cartridge is much better then paying a pro. Very simple to use and got me out of a jam. Phillips head screwdriver and adjustable wrench is all you need to use the tool. Def worth the 12 bucks. October 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Puller saved so much time Tried to remove Moen cartridge that wouldn't shut off. We spent nearly 15 minutes trying to get it out, without success. We Purchased this puller, and within 1 minute had the old cartridge out and new cartridge in. It looks like it'll work for the few times i'll need to use it. I'm not sure that it'll last long time for a professional. August 11, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not for the professional! Cheaply made, spend more if you will use often and buy the better one. Ok if occasional use, October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So Easy With This Tool Took on the task of replacing my 1225 Moen faucet cartridge because it was leaking. I'm not very handy and I got stuck when I couldn't get the old one out. I read about this tool, swung by my local HD, and bought it. Wow. It really worked. Simple to use, instructions included (although I looked for a video just to make sure I knew what I was doing). Got the old one out using very little effort compared to how much I was straining trying to pull the old one out with pliers. Might never use it again but still glad I got it. January 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use I'm NOT a handyman by any stretch of the imagination. Today, unfortunately, I found myself replacing a Moen cartridge in the master bath shower. Thing was stuck and would not budge. The last thing I wanted to do was damage the piping but that was the road I was looking at. Searched around online for a solution and found this tool. I bought it, read the instructions CAREFULLY, and pulled out the recalcitrant cartridge in about 10 minutes. If a tool klutz like me can do it, you can too. I highly recommend the tool! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product, for one time use. This tool is very easy to use, and really saves the day. But for being aluminum made, lasts only one use. August 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This tool works, mate! Its always nice when something performs well and doesn't cost a lot of money. Take your time to attatch the tool perfectly , making sure you have turned the screw into the brass stem all the need to force tighten. It also might be necessary to snap off the tabs of the old cartridge so you can pull it out into the puller's collar depending on how far the cartridge must be pulled until it breaks free. Worked great...fixed! November 15, 2014
