Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ARinKG NOT "universal" as labeled
Home Depot: You should include a disclaimer on products that the manufacturers claim to be "universal" on the product package labeling. This Danco lever is NOT compatible with my American Standard toilet tank. I recommend that you review all products you sell that include the word "universal" on their packaging and YOU recommend to the supplier/manufacturer that their labeling include a qualifying labeling statement for in-store shoppers, for example in this case: "A universal design that will fit MOST toilets with a front mount." I also recommend that HOME DEPOT add a similar statement on its website for all products that are described BY THE MANUFACTURER as UNIVERSAL. Yes, some of us are naive enough to believe that there is such a thing as a "universal" item by definition. Most Home Depot shoppers aren't professionals in the "trades," so we need honesty, clarity, and full disclosure. Thank you for considering my recommendation.

Well, the good news is that the handle was very easy to install to replace an older handle which had broken after an unknown amount of time, but a minimum of 3 years (as long as we have been in this house).
After a month had passed, I noticed that the handle was starting to feel...off or loose when I flushed. Yesterday, the handle was facing straight down (as opposed to parallel to the floor) and when I took it out to look at what may have gone wrong, it looks like a piece of the plastic collar that keeps the handle in place snapped off.
So under normal use in our master bathroom with two adults working full time (so this, at best, sees use during half the day), this lasted a month. If this is Danco's deluxe model, I would hate to see how flimsy their regular models are.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DIYer Horrible. Certainly not a good fit for American Standard
Horrible fit. The package claims it fits most standard toilets. The square arbor in the middle is smaller than the original one in my American Standard brand toilet. The square block is supposed to keep it from spinning while the nut holds it in place. It doesn't even come with an adapter to make sure it fits tightly.
I guess by "fits most" they went with the smallest size bore so it clears the hole. It jams because its tightened a lot, but if I don't tighten it a lot, it will twist out of place. Maybe it is because the toilet is older, although this is the kind of part that you start needing after they get old.

Needed to put a 30 degree bend in the arm to fit an American Standard Champion. The arm looks like a copper alloy that can be bent, but no - the arm broke in two when bent revealing that the copper color is only a plate on a brittle white metal. Hardly a universal replacement part. Into the trash it goes.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by gigi Danco deluxe trip lever in chrome
I installed it in my bedroom toilet and now it continuously leaves my toilet running. I change the level of the chain and it still doing the same thing so I don't encourage anyone to buy this product.

The assembly of the product was as easy as it gets. The durability of the product will last the life of the house.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Redfish It works but does not last
The rod to the flapper chain is metal, not plastic so it rusts away. You will have to replace this over and over until you buy one that is ALL PLASTIC.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by minabird Cheap but it works
This is a basic level of quality lever. It works, but tends to stick a bit...might be because we need to tighten it up. If I had to buy another, I'd go with a better one, although this is sufficient.
