This ez drain cover is a great concept and very easy to install. However it does not fit my standard size tub drain. The cover comes with 5 O rings. The large one is snug and seems like the right fit but then the cover rises up & out so it is too big. I tried the next size down and it is like having nothing on it. It is way too loose. I went to Home Depot to try to find an o-ring in-between those 2 sizes, but they did not have one.
The quality is very nice. The brushed nickel finish is very pretty. I am hoping I can find the correct sized o-ring as I would be very disappointed if I have to return it.

I had been looking for a solution for updating the tub after re-modeling the bathroom and this cover worked great. I had to modify the old tub drain a little but it ended up working great.

I used this to replace a worn tub stopper. It's an easy install, comes with five different "O" rings to fit different sized drains and presses into the existing drain opening once you have removed the previous stopper. The trim ring exactly covered my old, scarred ring. Big advantage is that you can install this without access to the underside of the tub, so it works even if there is a finished surface on the floor below. A second advantage, you can just pull it out easily if needed for cleaning the drain. (You can use plumber's putty when you install, but this doesn't seem necessary to me.) Disadvantage, it drains somewhat more slowly than the original stopper,

This product is supposed to be a universal fit item, this is not so.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DIYNovice Easy to install but O-ring doesn't sit tightly in product's groove.
This drain cover looks nice and is easy to install especially if you don't want to go through the hassle of removing the existing drain, but the O-ring doesn't sit snug in the groove provided. When you finally select an O-ring with the right fit (the product comes with six of varying sizes), the action of pushing the drain cover into place forces the O-ring out of the groove. Using a smaller O-ring for an easier fit won't give you a tight seal so a little bit of luck is required.

Great idea, very good quality material. Too small in diameter to cover either of our tub's drains!!
