Product Overview

Perfect Seal is an innovative new product that takes the guesswork out of toilet installation. Perfect Seal is truly universal and it will work with any toilet installation. It fits any drain size and flange depth. Whether your flange is above the floor or below the floor due to re-tiling, the Perfect Seal guarantees a perfect seal the first time, every time. The patented seal design combines specially designed rubber gaskets with encapsulated wax to form a seal that is three times stronger than a wax ring without the mess. Unlike wax rings, the Perfect Seal stabilizes toilet bolts and allows the toilet to be repositioned as needed. It accommodates flange heights from 1/2 in. above the floor to 1-1/2 in. below the floor and maintains a tight seal when common toilet and floor movement occurs. Depending upon the height of the floor flange and the toilet horn, there may be instances when the toilet may not sit flush to the floor. In these situations, the black plastic ring that is inside the gray rubber casing of the Perfect Seal can be removed. The removal of this hard plastic ring will allow the Perfect Seal to be fully compressed and the toilet should then sit flush with the floor.

Customer Questions & Answers

will this make my toilet too high?

I read another review and was wondering if this will make my toilet sit too high. My flange is above the floor.
Asked by: daash220
Thank you for your inquiry. With most flanges above the floor, this will not cause the toilet to sit too high. In some very rare cases, the toilet will need to be shimmed, but it doesn't happen as often as the reviews make it seem (no one is reporting the thousands upon thousands that are installed without an issue).

wax in the drain pipe?

love the design. I question wax going IN the drain pipe is a good idea? I worry it will create clogs (wax is a sticky mess, probably don't want it inside the drain?) Thank you
Asked by: fixmyhouse
All toilets are mounted with wax. This is sticky enough that it doesn't flow into the pipe. If you have so much wax that it is going into the pipe, then you need to scrape some off. The wax typically resides around the pipe in the flange area. A little wax that works off the drain is better than sewage on your floor.

Will this work 3/4 below floor

I have to level the floor so my ring will be 1/2 to 3/4 below the finish tile surface. Will this take up the gap with the blue spacer?
Asked by: Cabin
Yes, it will. I had the same thing and it worked out perfectly.

Does this come with mounting bolts?

Asked by: Squeege
Yes. However, I reused the existing bolts because they were in good shape and larger in diameter.

Used option 2, flange level with floor so I removed blue part of seal.Upon installation of toilet I could not get it to go down all the way so I,per instructions, removed the hard black plastic ring. toilet installed properly, however after a few days I noticed water seeping from the flange area.Removed toilet and noticed wax into drain pipe and distorting grey rubber seal, almost totally restricting flow into sewer pipe, thank goodness for leak because I would have definitely had flow problems.Went back to standard wax ring

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work for me. Our house has an older cast iron flange. Purchased this product hoping it is better that the old wax rings style. I read all the instructions and started to install. My flange top is about 3/8” off the floor and product states it will work up to ½” off of floor. As instructed took the blue extender off and installed. Sat the toilet down and the toilet was not flush with floor at all. Took the toilet back off and per instructions removed the inner hard black ring so it would sit flush. Installed toilet and it still would not sit flush. I ended up throwing it away and drove to get a wax ring. Wax ring install and toilet sits flush with floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this. I just used this to install two new toilets in my home. No leaks so far after approximately one month. Unlike traditional wax rings, this product allows for adjustment if you don't align the toilet perfectly on the first try. I did the following: 1) Install the product over the bolts in the floor flange. 2) Stick blue painters tape on the floor so the tape is aligned with the bolts. This will give you a location guide. 3) Hover the toilet bolt holes over the bolts. Gently lower the toilet until you feel the toilet botton come in contact with this product. 4) Using a little gentle finess, wiggle the toilet slightly until you feel the top of this product inset into the drain hole on the toilet (you will know it when you feel it). 5) Sit down backwards on the toilet to compress to the floor. 6) Put floor bolt nuts and caps on. Attach tank, water supply, and seat. Flush and check for leaks. Done. I really like this product, and it has a rubber extension in case your flange sits too far below your finished floor. Simple and well illustrated instructions

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally fixed my problem We tried two different wax rings to get our toilet to seal against the old flange and neither were successful. The combo of wax to seal against the old flange that wasn't smooth and the rubber to seal against the porcelain was perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Danco Perfect Toilet Seal I installed the Perfect Seal without the blue adapter because my cast iron discharge flange sits higher than the ceramic flooring. This was suggested by the included instruction sheet. Once installed, I flushed the toilet and it leaked immediately. I pulled the toilet again and installed the blue adapter even though the instructions indicated otherwise. So far the toilet does not leak but my fingers are crossed as it has been only 3 hours since the install. I suspect it would have leaked on the 1st flush if it were going to, so I'm pretty confident it worked. It certainly is a much easier and less messy way vs. a wax seal only method. Cost is more than wax seals but not important to me as resealing is only done once in a while. Overall I'm satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product We used this product for replacing toilet more then 30 years old. Bolts were rusted and flange was broken, so first we had to remove and replace both, then we followed with Perfect seal, which turned out to work really to be perfect. This product comes with excellent installation instructions see pictures 2, 3 & 4 and we did not have any problem to use it. Perfect Seal is backed up by 10 years manufacturer warranty.

Removed blue adapter and installed. Toilet would not sit flush with floor. Per instructions, I removed the black spacer and reinstalled toilet. Still wouldn't sit flush, even with lots of trying and my fat butt sitting on it, it would not go flush. When I took it apart, it looked like it would have had an excellent seal, just not if you have a raised flange.
