Answer:
While it is possible to drive a screw directly into dry Plastic Wood, to avoid the potential for cracking, a pilot hole should be drilled prior to the introduction of the screw.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not the right stuff - Stay Away! Dap makes some very good stuff but this isn't one of them. I used the Plastic Wood tube per instructions, let it dry overnight, and the next day I had a soft filler in the hole that was being repaired; it wouldn't hold nothing, and it was easily removed with a small screwdriver. "3 Times Stronger Than The Wood Itself!" That tagline most definitely refers to whatever they were drinking. January 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by amazing I love this stuff I bought it to fill some screw holes in a drawer because I could not find handles to fit the old holes. It hardens up really good and when you sand it it's just like real wood. I drilled the new holes in half of the patch and it's holding up really well. March 25, 2014
