Any idea on how to make this gray? Adding paint to the top layer when wet? Does DAP have dyes? Can't imagine just painting after it has dried will last very long or look very good. I am using this on cracked stained concrete.

Answer:
The only way to modify the color of the sealant is to apply a coating of a high quality exterior acrylic latex paint.

As a general rule, it is always recommended that any previously applied sealants is completely removed and the application area cleaned and dried. The only exception is with a "fresh application". Example: You apply a bead of new sealant to a properly prepared application area and allow it to fully cure. When inspecting your new application, you discover that there are areas that do not have enough sealant applied (low spots), areas that are not properly tooled (rough) or areas that may have been missed (voids). You can apply more of the exact same sealant to itself to adjust/correct your work. Read Less

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Color blind The color gray is not gray at all. Using DAP gray around my pool for expansion joint would match regular concrete but sticks out like a white outline when using next to gray concrete. Don't buy this. Wish I used another brand! August 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Starnge Product I understand it says self leveling but why would one need that. With that being said the product is very thin and flows almost like water. Your surface must be flat and horizontally level otherwise it will run to the lowest point. I used it on a chimney that has a slight crown on the top to prevent water from poling & collecting but this ran to the outside edges and dripped down to the roof and the ground. Very little product stayed put. I guess if what you are patching is flat it may be better. July 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great sealant and made the job quick and easy Used this product to seal cracks in a concrete water fountain. Consistency and ability to spread and fill the cracks was spot on. Excellent product and will be using DAP products for other household projects in the future. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Held up over long winter It's not really gray unfortunately, more of a cream color. It has an almost rubbery feel when dry which I wasn't sure about but it fills in and levels out inside the cracks very well. That's the important thing. I probably used more than I should have for the big crack I had but it dried just fine. Wisconsin weather is long, cold and icy and this caulk has held up like a champ. No cracks or tears in the 1" wide area of Dap I used. I will be buying more to fill in the gaps between my sidewalk slabs. June 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beware of the color! My 19 year old two-car garage floor looks gray to me. It was poured from a commercial cement mixer here in Portland, Oregon. Over the years it's developed a crack that runs through the middle of both slabs from left to right across the whole floor. I purchased this product because all of the info about it looked reasonable to me, including the price. On the tube it reads "GRAY", but when I began using it I noticed it looked like almond colored latex house paint! It's been 4 days now since I completely sealed the crack and so far it still looks the same almond color! So, BEWARE folks! PS. First I vacuumed the crack, used a sponge and TSP, rinsed with clean water, and dried before the application. From what I see, whatever color comes out of the tube will be what you're going to see when you're done applying it. July 17, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easier to use We use this caulk in our business service applications. Our technicians highly recommend this because it is easier to apply since it has a more liquid consistency versus a more rigid paste type caylk that needs to be spread evenly. May 14, 2011
