Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heck yeah Don't no about the two rookies who wrote the other reviews ...this stuff is awesome. Use it properly and my customers do not have to wait to use there plumbing fixtures. I used soap water on my fingers to smooth my beads.

This sealant was horrible to work with- slow and inconsistent flow out of the tube and very difficult to apply in an even manner. I did two areas on my shower and stopped. We will spend the time to strip it out and use a different product. You would think that the company after all these consistently poor reviews would pull this product. Home Depot should also review selling this product. This purchase was an absolute waste of money and more importantly my time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I used this on the backsplash for a bathroom vanity and around tub fixtures. I read the reviews, ... I used this on the backsplash for a bathroom vanity and around tub fixtures. I read the reviews, so I expected it to be difficult to work with. Yes it is difficult to use, but my biggest beef with this caulk is the color change. A few months post install, the clear turns urine yellow, not attractive for a bathroom. See picture. The product is very sticky and seems quite durable, however the color change is a deal breaker for me. There is some shrinkage over time, but probably not anymore than any other caulk. If you do decide to use this then here are my tips for working with this stuff. Have plenty of mineral spirits and rags for cleanup and tooling. You can use your finger (with a tight fitting rubber glove) or a tooling device (I used a spoon). I would have a cup of mineral spirits ready for dipping your finger/tooling device in. Tape your caulk line but don't use standard masking tape because it will rip when you go to pull it off. When it rips you have to dig out the tape, often your clumsy fingers will ruin your freshly laid bead as you try to dig out the tape. Trying to smooth out this damage without tape to keep the edges clean is difficult and frustrating. I ended up using frog tape, which didn't rip. Work in small sections, like 2 feet or less, because it does set up fast. Make sure you pull the tape after tooling each section. If you wait too long to pull the tape you won't get a clean edge. Last tip is this is a lot easier with a quality caulk gun, don't use a cheap caulk gun. For some reason the clear dap 3.0 is REALLY difficult to squeeze out (compared to white Dap 3.0). I literally collapsed the handle on a cheapo caulk gun rendering the gun inoperable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely hard to work with - too thick and feels expired I bought a tube, cut the tip, poked the seal a few times and realized i could barely get any to come out. I pressed so hard that some of it came out the back and almost broke my caulking gun. I returned the tube, thinking it must be old. Got another. This one flowed a little better, but not by much. Like others have said, it sticks to everything except the corner you are trying to do. Very thick, nasty stuff that refuses to flow evenly and cannot be finessed after. Once it's on something, you will need mineral spirits to get it off. As a sealant it probably works well, but i wouldn't apply it where people can see. Just avoid this garbage - the high price is just insult on top of injury. It should come with a warning and HD should not carry this stuff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dap 3.0 Kitchen & Bath Caulk I've been a kitchen and bath Contractor for 32 years and have used every caulk known to man. I consider myself a caulking champ. This is the worst product I have ever used. Although odorless, it is a solvent based product which is very thin and messy. It sticks to everything except the corner your trying to apply it to. It cannot be smoothed or tooled and is too thin to run a perfect bead from the gun. I'll spend many hours removing this mess from my shower and replacing it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crystal clear quickly turns to ugly yellow. Goes on and dries crystal clear just like it says, you can see right through it. In a very short time it turns the most awful yellow color you've ever seen. Wasted hours redoing the job.
