Answer:
The consistency is like a milkshake. If there is enough room to create a level surface within the crack that's fine, but do NOT expect it to solidify at an angle. It's called "self leveling" & it's aptly named.

Answer:
This product is fairly runny. A slight grade of 1%-2% might require a second application after 30 minutes. At grades over 3% the product is clearly flowing downhill and I needed to do several applications over the span of an hour to build it up.

Answer:
Since the product applies as a "thin gel like texture", excessive slope may result in the product flowing out of the intended application area. For areas that are in question, a test application would be recommended.

having enclosed part of the concrete porch and it is now 'inside' , I want to seal the old joint between the house concrete slab and the old/now inside concrete porch before I put the flooring in place. In reading one expansion joint sealant I have for my driveway the VOC's are quite prevalent and says use in areas of plenty of air exchange..... so what I am looking for is a self leveling product for inside so I don't have to leave the house open all day.... so are there VOC's with this product that stipulate it being used outdoors...if this cannot be used inside , what self leveling mat'l is available with low VOC's?
Many thanks

Answer:
Certainly adheres to concrete and I suspect it will adhere to asphalt as well. Be sure to use a backer rod to keep the sealing from flowing thru since this a selft leveling product

DAP 3.0 Self-Leveling Concrete & Masonry High Performance Sealant can be use for that type of project. Be aware that that the oils in the asphalt may cause discoloration over time, but should not impact overall performance.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff is great!! This is excellent for sealing horizontal cracks and seams. I used it to seal an annulus around a lalli column in my garage to keep the concrete from corroding the steel. Filled the crack right from the gun without any tooling and self leveled to a perfectly smooth surface. I don't know why others are complaining about this product since it is perfect for its intended use of horizontal crack sealing. I was trilled when I heard about this since I was about to use standard caulk, which would have been a disaster. June 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great sealant and made the job quick and easy Used this product to seal cracks in a concrete water fountain. Consistency and ability to spread and fill the cracks was spot on. Excellent product and will be using DAP products for other household projects in the future. May 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horizontal is the key word This product is useless for any kind of vertical patching. It is very thin and runs out of any crack April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product... Make sure to read the directions. As noted by others, a single tube may not go too far! One tube covered two expansion joints in my sidewalk. I did use filler foam to reduce the depth, but still wanted enough sealant that it would not be too thin & subsequently deteriorate too quickly. It took a few days to firm up, but was not sticky to the touch after the first day. I suppose if you apply in cold or humid weather it could take much longer. The color is a bit too light for my 30 yr old sidewalk. Would prefer a darker gray. The color difference is far more pronounced after it rains. September 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Tan Flex-Joint Sealant Dap 3.0 is very runny - no tooling is necessary. The "Gray" concrete sealant is more Tan/Almond/Stone colored, but this is what I needed for my unsealed pea-gravel aggregate driveway. The flexibility makes it great for expansion joints. Sprinkle some sand on top to reduce the smooth-sheen for a more natural look. Wish it came in a larger size. September 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by really good stuff This is excellent crack repair. Now you can't have huge cracks, they will swallow the tube up. If your crack is big you need filler rod to take up space then a small covering with this and it's sealed. Most cracks you just put a small bead over it and it self levels over crack and done. 24 hours later and try to get it up. Cars, pressure washers don't hurt anything. Also this is flexible for those freeze thaw cycles. Yes it is expensive I like to see at $ 5.00 a tube. August 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Professional useage and we love it We use this throughout our work week when cutting across clients sidewalks and driveways. We really like the liquid ease and the self leveling ability. It shaved a ton of time off this tedious task. The waterproof seal is very good and we haven't had any customer call backs in 3 years of use. March 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by About as good as pudding Tried to,use this around my fireplace, but this stuff ran lost like water. Self leveling is an understatement, if want to pool. What a waste of time and money and huge pain to clean up the mess it left. January 2, 2015
