These hoses are terrible. I have had three of them, all of which exploded.
You are supposed to fill the hose slowly so the rubber tube inside can expand. The problem is the tubes are very narrow and are more than likely made of inferior rubber that cannot expand the way they are supposed to.
Here is a photo of the narrow rubber tube that literally flew out of my last hose onto my driveway when it exploded. You can see that the ends have been ripped out. What you can't see (because the tube returned to its original shape) is that this two inch piece of rubber is literally sliced in half. It is only about 1/4" wide inside. How can they expect such a narrow rubber tube to expand three times its width without exploding?

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Beth Good Idea; Very Poor Quality
I bought two X Pro hoses, thinking they would be of high quality. The first one burst on the first use; the second one burst on the third use. Complete garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 wasted alot of money
over last three years I purchased 6 of the x-hoses the blue ones which came out first, then last fall 2 of the new black ones with brass ends which were supposed to be so good, and all of the hoses lasted only for about 3 times each the black new ones were the worst. they started leaking the second time I used them. call me a dummy for buying all of them before I learned my lesson!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by SWA2001 Don't Do It!!!
I bought 3; 2 for myself & one for my mother. She was soaking wet the first & only time she used it & gave it back to me. One of mine sprung a pin-hole leak. I put CA glue on it but I'm still having leaking at the connections. It's a good idea but definitely not perfected. I don't like doing returns so I'll struggle thru til they improve this product. In the meantime save your money.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by SATexan Another good idea that doesn't work
Last year purchased 2 of those green colored expandable hoses, and had each hose blow a hole after using only 4 times. This year I bought the XHose Expandable hole hoping for a longer hose life because it appeared to be a better quality hose. However, I had the same result of a hose blow out on the 5th times I used it. It is a great idea, but I have not been able to figure out to get more life from these hoses
