Would like to fill the cracks and knotholes in a plywood floor, then paint it. Is this product durable enough to be used without another layer of flooring on top?

Answer:
The product isn't suitable to use as a layer of flooring. It's meant to level the floor under plywood or concrete, but it can be painted or covered.

Answer:
Flexible Floor Patch and Leveler is a ready-to-use latex based product used to fill cracks, fasteners or knotholes, and level low areas in plywood subfloors or concrete surfaces. It is not considered suitable for use as a flooring surface (even when painted/coated).

Will this work around heating poles?

This question is from 32 oz. Gray Flexible Floor Patch and Leveler
Asked by

I live in an apartment with a heating pole in the corner of the bathroom. The pole carries hot steam throughout the apartment building during the winter months. The pole is from floor to ceiling. I repaired the floor around the pole because all the tile at the base of the pole had broken over time. Using 2 in x 6 in molding tile, I built a square around the base of the pole and filled it with mixed concrete. This worked fine for the summer, but once winter came the pole expanded from the steam and broke up the concrete. I need a hard, heat resistant sealant that can flex with the pole through the seasons and keep the floor sealed arount its base. Will this flexible floor patch work?
