Answer:
When properly mixed, the initial consistency of DAP Plaster of Paris will be thin enough in texture to pour. Withing a ~2-3 minutes the product will begin to thicken, within ~7-10 minutes, the product will heave begun the set, within ~20-30 minutes the product will feel hard to the touch.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No specifications for how to use or where I had damaged on my drywall and looked for this a product that could work on my wall. Home depot recommend it. I applied it, after figuring out how to work with it. Note that it hardens fast, just in a few minutes and one has to have the exact consistency for it to work. Either way, I applied it to the wall and waited for it to dry. First an hour, then two, then four, then 8. Started looking for instructions, and there were none to be fond, either at the homedepot website, or DAB's. Hum, I said to myself. Why not just provide info for consumers? well reading blogs I found out that this product "cures" in about 3 weeks. Before that, if you prime it, moisture would stay in the wall and it would create black mold. 3 WEEKS? Black mold? who has 3 weeks to wait for something to "cure". This is insane. I wish I had known that, I would have used another product. April 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! I love this stuff! This product mixes very easy. Just add a water until it is a smooth paste. It dries rock hard and doesn't shrink down when dry like some drywall compounds. I use it on drywall repairs (holes, dents). Not sure it would be what you want for taping and mudding drywall seams, but it works perfect for smaller repairs. Cleaning up tools is easy with water. October 5, 2013
