Answer:
Yes you can stain this product, I can't imagine that it would look good, you would probably be better off using some type of either stained wood filler and trying to match or staining a wood putty/filler yourself. It paints nicely though. I hope this helps.

Answer:
Probably not a good choice. I used this in my house just to give it a try and it cracked and shriveled up in 2 yrs. Spend a little more money on a better brand like OSI or Loctite, a former boss uses these kinds and they are great.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by use the right caulking you need to use the right caulk for the right job. Baseboards and crown molding you should use a caulk with silicone so that it remains flexible and can flex with floor movement and expansion and contraction. Using the wrong product will give very bad results. Don't blame the product when the wrong product is chosen October 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Caulk Ever This is the worst caulk ever. I used this when I built my house and in two years it had shriveled up, cracked and dried almost to non-existence. I used some of dap's roofing tar on my grandmother's skylights; It cracked and leaked in less than a year. Worst caulking ever. To put it plainly, you get what you pay for. Junk! Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money for the good stuff. And do your research. June 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your time and money I have used many caulks over the years, but this one is the worst. It is very thin, and it cracks and splits within 3 months time. I used about 2 dozen tubes of this caulk, before I got wise. Everything I used it on, had to be redone, at my expense. October 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product from DAP Really like this product. It's goes on easy and easy to blend in. I dry really fast. Love the product. August 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good all around This is a wonderful item. Easy to clean up with soap and water, easy to apply. I have used this fro everything from window trim to crown molding installation. December 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It's ok. Not the best caulk I've ever used but I think it's ok for a temporary fix. It doesn't hold up very well over time. But for the price I don't think I should complain! November 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by useless returning unopened, will find another product Professional used and it cracked within 24 hours, will have to be removed and completely redone. August 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! I used two cases of this on a house I am remodeling and am very pleased. The product was very easy to work with cold, or warm. Would highly recommend this product. February 22, 2013
