Answer:
Thank you for posting your inquiry, unfortunately we are not able to provide specific clean up instructions, as there was not enough detail provided. While in their uncured state, as a general rule, latex based caulks/sealants can be cleaned up with water. Silicone, polyurethane, synthetic rubber and asphalt based caulks/sealants require solvents such as mineral spirits (paint thinner) for clean up.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by From the company that makes caulk... I actually purchased this tool kit for the "bonus" caulk saving cap. I purchased it and the 8-piece kit that comes with 3 caulk caps. I should have stuck with the plastic bag and rubber band method because the caps don't fit any of 12 tubes of caulk I have on-hand (including DAP products - Alex Fast Dry and DYNAFLEX230). Seriously?!? How sad the company that makes caulk can't make caps that fit their products. Returning! January 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It Depends on the Surface! Let me start with what I don’t like about this pack: the price is a little high for it and the caulk remover is cheaply made as I already broke the tip on my first use. Unless the surface is totally flat, it will make a mess. If you use it on tile with large grout gaps and the trim side, the space between the tiles (grout) will have the caulk bleeding into it. Ok the good part: I used it for more than 20 times so far and it never fails on totally flat surfaces! For instance, I caulked between the wall and the counter top and it did a perfect line on the first try. Better than the pros! All of our walls are textured, so if we use the tool (any of the three) we will get a bumpy line. A little paint touch-up after the caulk has dried will fix it. Overall, this does save you a lot of taping time and gets the job done. Don’t run fast and don’t rush, slow and steady will get you better results. I tried dipping it in water to see if it will work better on the textured surfaces, but it didn’t work. Depending on the area we are working on, I always keep these three tools handy, a plastic cup of warm water to dip my finger in and run it across the bead, and my all-time favorite, the Husky caulking tool that has an aluminum edge for ripping and a soft edge for smoothing caulk. Again, depending on the area, we use the above solutions. Finger and warm water will never fail, just ensure its not soaking wet. Good luck! February 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product Used the other one HD has but this one is the best August 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use Tool has every angle needed to get the job done neat and clean. Better than using your fingure. March 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth it! This review is for the caulk removing tool. It did not work! The edges were worn down after 15 minutes of use. I'm back to using a 5 in 1 painters tool and a utility knife. January 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not like on tv For $15 this product is not as easy as advertised. Yes it smooths the caulk well in the corner, but no its not as neat and clean as you see in the ad. The caulk builds up on the tool as its passed over the work area and smears on the surfaces and must be very carefully and exactly wiped off so as not to disturb the actual caulking job you've just finished. Really a mess with silicone caulk that does not wash off real easy. I had to wait until the silicone caulk set and dried then scraped off the film left by the tool on the upper and lower surface. A real mess but better than nothing. January 27, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as described, great seams and coverage Used this tool set to apply silicone caulk around shower in master bath and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Selected size seam desired and applied with relative ease. Finished results are great and there are no wide spots or gaps in the caulk. Next project is to use these on the guest bath tub. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not work There was a massive amount of excess rubber or flashing on the tool that made it impossible to use. Even when I removed flashing it did not work so well. my finger did a better job. January 14, 2014
