25 lb. White Plaster of Paris Dry Mix is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have used your plaster of paris for years! I use your plaster in all my sculptures. My technique I learned from an art professor I had at Long Beach State University. I use a 2 to 3 times plaster to water without mixing. I then hand apply the plaster to a wire armater. It sets very hard yet it can easily be finished with files and sand paper. I then paint 6 coates of bronze tone paints and seal with varithane spray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for use in Mold Making for Lost Wax Casting I always use DAP Plaster of Paris for my molds since it seems to mix very well with sand in both 1:1 ratio for higher detail AND 1:2 ratio for a stronger hold. I love that it sets quickly and dries white. USG dries off-white/ cream eggshell and that's extremely annoying after using DAP. DAP also seems to be a better quality plaster than USG. USG crumbles even well beyond it's complete curing time. DAP does not. I've never used USG for molds as it is weak and I never plan on using anything other than DAP Plaster of Paris for my casting and mold making needs. It's an absolutely perfect fit for Aluminum and Bronze casting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong product pictured Plaster wall patch is in the picture but this is actually plaster of Paris. Plaster wall patch has a work time of about 2 hours. Plaster of Paris has a work time of like ten minutes. I had a large repair so I mixed up enough for the project and it all harden in the bucket. The product itself does what it's suppose to do it, I just was given the impression it was something else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for plaster wall repairs Do not try to use this product to patch holes in plaster walls, or to add a smooth top coat to plaster walls. This product sets up too quickly - at best 20 - 30 minutes, and if it's old can set up much quicker. DAP makes a product called "Plaster Wall Patch" that sets up in 2 hours, and according to the manufacturer can have a working time of up to 90 minutes. You need that extra working time to be able to smooth out the patch or top skim coat. This product is best for craft projects or plaster molds. Since I can not seem to find Plaster Wall Patch at Home Depot I went to DAP's web site and got a list of stores I can get it from.
