Like others said, this is made of thin plastics (get to see the water flow with back light, which I appreciate. The new bathroom drain won't connect to the regular p-trap, tried several different kind of p-traps, drain assemblies (metal, plastic, etc), with different ring and with and without tape and goo. I even thought at one time that the new and expensive metal drain got the problem solved (and wrote a review I can't modify, "thanks" to the friendly Home Depot website). The water keeps creeping back up in a few hours and produce small but visible pot of water! Then I found an online article about the problem being the height of the p-trap vs. the height of the drain to the sewer on the other end. It has nothing to do with the seal of the p-trap connector itself! Then I found this in the store today! The flex neck moves the trap connector several inches higher than the other end and solved the problem right away! I don't understand why not all the p-trap pipe are required to have the trap end a few inches taller than the other side. The current design works only if everything is in perfect alignment, which is tall requirement considering the limited space to work with and the sewer pipe in the wall can come out in any direction and angle that you can do nothing about. Only hope this pipe should last a few years. Will definitely check back at it from time to time. But this really is a great smart design and gets the job done beautiful, and cheaply too!

After reinstalling the old P-Trap, the leak crept due to misalignment after the installation of a new sink. This thing solve that issue. The only problem is the associate when I called on the phone and told me that they didn't carry it, that is seasonal and not check physically if they had a similar unit before sending me away. I almost went to Lowe's but Lowe's didn't have this online. After going to the store for some other stuff, I came across this P-trap that the associate told me they didn't have. That was a real bummer. The product itself is more than satisfactory. The product is not as thick and solid as you might think like the original ones. You could a light behind it and see if it was clogged. It is still a very good buy. I'd recommend it.

I needed one which was flexible because the regular p-trap didn't connect anymore after replacing the bathroom sink, this product solved that problem, but it definitely leaks at the connections, which I solved with some sink connection washers, they are rubber washers. They should be sold with it.

I put in a new sink going from 2 drains down to one.. The piping was a bit tricky having to cut a few of the pipes to fit the garbage disposal. This p-trap saved my life allowing me to bend to exactly where I needed to go. No leaks either! One thing I wish it did have though that I needed to go back for was one 90 one side with the screw cap, the other with threads. It would have come in handy with piping into the garbage disposal outlet... Great product otherwise!

it is an easy to install solution when replacing a sink where the piping doesn't line up.
