Customer Questions & Answers

what are the dimensions that I should cut the granite counter so this fits in?

Asked by: Anonymous
When you purchase the sink, it comes with a cutting template that you will give to your granite vendor. You should also check the clearance requirements for your faucet and make sure you have enough room in the depth of the counter to allow for the faucet you select to sit behind or beside where you want it placed. (Faucets also have templates or lists of required clearances that the granite guys will need when predrilling).

What height faucet should I buy to go with the square semi-recessed vessel sink? Model number 1423-CWH. Sink height is 7.75 inches. Thanks.

Asked by: Anonymous
7.75" is the total height of the sink, including the portion that lays below the counter top. Because the sink only rises 4 inches above the top of the counter a significantly shorter faucet should also work.

Would it be perfectly acceptable to mount the faucet to the side with this sink or is that not advised?

Asked by: BayMckay
Offset faucet placement should not cause any issues, but please make sure to consult the faucet manufacturer of your choosing for advice prior to installation.

After install, how high does the sink come up above the countertop? I see it's 7.75" total depth but what portion of that is above the counter? Thanks

Asked by: Kim
The DECOLAV 1423-CWH sits 4" above counter after installation.

It is a beautiful quality and was easy to install once the granite was put down. We used a Kraus tall faucet which looks great. Because it sits down and is only 4" tall it is not as tall as other vessel sinks but, you still get the additional space underneath in the cabinet. Our countertops were 24"w x20" deep after backspash and that gives you plenty of room and you can see the granite that you spent so much on. Saves the additional $250 cost to undermount your sink with great WOW factor. Everyone we have shown it to has been impressed. The Home Depot return policy for the previous sink we bought was very easy to take advantage of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern look.... If you are looking to update your bathroom with a more contemporary vessel look no further. White, squared with rounded corners, this sink extends about 5" above the counter top when fully installed. Can be used in a 21" counter top but make sure you plan for a higher faucet, the setback of the faucet and the depth of any back splash as you could get tight on space when mounting the faucet behind the sink. Lay everything out on paper and then cut a template to make sure your happy with the placement.
