Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Useful saw I've used this saw more often than I thought I would when I bought it. I was a little skeptical about the Dewalt brand name but it seems to be adequate. This saw has sufficient power and the quick blade changeout is great! The only bad thing about this saw which goes for all recip saws is that they are dangerous to use but they're just so useful for any application where rough and quick cutting is required that they sell like mad. I thought the Dewalt is about $10 too much for the level of quality on this tool but it is a good tool. April 4, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Saw This is one heck of a great tool as I cannot wear it out it seems. It has literally cut miles of material from plastics to wood and metal as well. Probably has cut up around 300 fuel oil tanks alone in the heating trade also. Dollar for dollar its the best saw on the market in my opinion as its virtually indestructable. Even the case is extremely durable as well and takes a beating without any problems at all in the back of my truck. August 6, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reciprocating Saw My wife bought this tool for my Bday and I thought I didn`t need this type of tool but after using it WOW what a lot of use`s this saw has and when my brother seen it and friends they all have borrowed it and brag about the power and ease of use . If all Dewalt tools are this tough I need to replace all the other brands I have and not tell anyone so I won`t have to search the neighbor hood to find my tools November 17, 2007

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I bought this saw earlier this summer because I needed a well built saw that could take a beating and I got just that. We were cutting out a larger hole to put a window in and we were cutting though 5'-6' of different sidings and it worked like a charm, the guy I was working with ended up burning out his motor on his "no name brand" saw and ending up buying this same saw aswell. A++ from me. December 31, 2008
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Reciprocating Saw I purchased this saw to replace another one at a comparable price that broke while cutting through a small metal fence poast. This saw is a monster though. It has been used countless times to cut though a variety of things from a metal door frame to presure treated 4x4s and it is still going strong. It is a great saw and seems to cut through anything. September 13, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good saw I received this saw for Christmas and have used it quite a bit. In terms of power and getting the job done it is excellent. The only drawback I see is the foot is not adjustable so if you wear one part of the blade (like when cutting metal) you have to change the blade. Some other brands let you adjust the foot to use a different part of the blade. March 28, 2007
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It is what it is Doesn't have alot of power, vibrates alot, the shoe doesn't adjust, and the front gets pretty hot after a few minutes use. But then again it's half the price of a milwaukee sawzall, and it does essentially the same thing. This is the type of tool you could use, abuse, and then throw away without guilt. It works well, but it doesn't delight. November 13, 2006
