This is a nice saw. I've owned 3 or 4 table saws in my lifetime and worked in a millwork shop using industrial table saws. And this is the best one I've owned. I took the time to setup up and adjust everything and added a Freud Diablo 40 tooth blade. This saw cuts very smoothly and accurately. The fence is particularly nice since it is attached positively to the out feed side of the table as well. There is a lot of plastic on this saw, but I guess it would be a lot heavier otherwise and I need to be able to transport this saw regularly. Also, I wish there was storage for the fence elsewhere on the saw when not needed ( like my last saw) and there is no where to wrap the cord. If you wrap the cord around the kickstand , the saw will rest on it when stored. The table itself seems small but I've been able to cut everything I need to. I'm very happy with this saw and would highly recommend it to any one looking for a saw.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ExNJ Good saw for its size
Pros: accurate, good power, very stable and easy to set up rolling stand, easy/accurate fence setup with nice flip-down support for cuts where the fence is set beyond the table.
Cons: included miter gauge is somewhat loose in the slot, blade angle zero stop is difficult to set (but you normally only need to do this once), textured surface of table can sometimes cause stock to bind slightly.

I initially purchased this product for the purposes of doing some home wood working, but was a little annoyed with all of the adjustments that needed to be made out of the box. For example, the gauge needed to be reset to 0 and the saw blade had to be calibrated to be 90 degrees. This is the second power too that I have purchased from Dewalt that had this issue. I wish they would calibrate these items before they shipped from the factory. It would probably take them a few minutes.

After watching and reading many on-line reviews I opted for the slightly more expensive saw with the rolling stand. The saw, even with the stand isn't very heavy. Yet rolling it through the job site was so much easier the expense was worth it. I did purchase a separate Diablo 60 tooth blade for the work, but the over all design, ease of assembly have made me a happy camper. Now I just need to find a way to break it to my wife that I got it....

Unbelievable table saw. I was using a skilsaw before and this blows it out of the water. Great features (saftey gear is cool, but for most of the cuts and rips I do it still gets in the way). Really stable base, better than average blade, and lots of power. Couldn't be happier. I almost bought a BOSCH and I'm glad I went with DeWalt. It also is fairly light when detached from the base (less then 60 pounds I'd reckon).

I needed a compact table saw as my space is limited. Good quality construction, very accurate fence, smooth operation. Raising and lowering of blade is very smooth, adjusting blade angles is easy. Ample power for ripping even through hardwood. If you want a better quality portable saw I would recommend spending the extra few dollars.

I have limited space in my garage, this saw stores great, easily detaches from the stand also to make it even more space efficient to store away stand and saw separate.
The fence of this saw is what I love about it. Precision cuts all the time. The fence always stays parallel to the blade once its calibrated.
I love working with this saw it does exactly what it should all the time. Its more than I expected in a portable.

I bought this table saw because I wanted to get a portable table saw that can cut almost as well as a cabinet table saw. This one does, and it is very well thought out and easy to use. All the attachments are easy to take on and off. I can zero the blade in a minute. And the legs for the cart are extremely sturdy. It's pretty heavy to get in and out of the truck, but I knew that when I bought it. But rolling it around on the cart is sweet.
